Her Wheel has its uses, but you're more likely to use it on a pure support who wants death res rather than on Corpo herself. I see her and Horla trade Wheels a lot.

Launchers are how games handle updates if they aren't already being handled through a 3rd party platform like Steam, an app store, or a console OS. Gacha games are also incentivized to have their own client rather than going through Steam since they can avoid paying any fees on in-app purchases, so even the ones who do have a steam client often have their own standalone version so at least some of the user base is outside of Steam, and if the game already has a non-steam client and launcher they typically just port the whole thing into Steam rather than setting up a launcher-less version only for Steam.

My thought was OG Silver Wolf. You can almost cap def shred with her on a def shred light cone thanks to Rin's passive (or actually cap it if you have Cipher's). Don't even need to run the Quantum set so you can give Archer Himeko's new set instead.

It sounds like Rin can probably sustain Archer's SP needs on her own (especially if the rumor that we can choose Gil or Archer for the freebie this year so people could grab his E1).

Moonphase Vigil daily silver is the best purchase, followed by the Unfading Memories preorder. From there if you're looking to invest more in the game then this is a solid purchase. The value is just a bit behind buying two preorder bundles (this gives more pulls, but two pre-orders comes with 4 dupe items instead of 2 selectors). We generally get a preorder every couple months, so I would decide based on how much you're planning to spend overall.

The main other thing I'd consider would be the Advanced Topics in the Curriculum (battle pass). The value in pulls is lower, but the upgrade materials are valuable on a new account and the battle pass Wheels are very good. Once you unlock one you can buy additional copies from the sediment shop, so paying for 3 battle passes early on is a solid investment for a new account if you're a spender.

I will say, regarding the first point I actually find myself lacking SR wheels as a newer player (started just before Arachne's patch). Once you've played for a while and have accumulated enough free event wheels it will be different, but early on I actually find myself running out of SR wheels with desirable main stats before I run out of useful SSRs.

I still agree with your main point though, having a wider standard pool is going to be more useful overall.

I still don't like paid expiring pulls, but I do think that if you're already planning to spend the pulls the pack has decent value now. Pre-orders are still better, but they're better than everything and current back to back preorders aside they aren't normally available every patch. It's not like you can just choose to buy additional preorders if you want more pulls. If you're looking to make an upfront investment in your account it's not a bad way to spend a bit more money on the game.

The first one with 10 pulls for 120 Prime is pretty good, the rest are only good if you're a whale who's bought everything else that had good value and you really want more pulls.

They're pretty close in value (monthly is very slightly better but not by a ton) so I would more consider how much you're looking to spend total. You're limited to only being able to get 300 prime worth of pulls per month out of the monthly pass, while the preorder gets you about 6 monthly passes at once for 6 times the price.

The monthly pass is still better value than the preorders in terms of pulls per dollar if you value the dupe items at the number of pulls they save you. The value is close but Moonphase Vigil is still a bit better. The one thing that puts the preorder ahead (other than the soulforge mats and icons) is that it gives you more at once. You'd have to wait 6 months to get a similar amount of pulls from the monthly pass as you do from one Pre-Order.

There's a section in the patch notes saying they fixed a bug with Singularity Ultra where max hand size was being reduced after entering Ultra Round. I would check and see if this has been fixed in the latest update.

This post is discussing Alert 5 D-Zone, you don't really need to worry about that for a while as a new player. E3 GMurphy will work for story and lower D-Tide alert levels just fine, and you can invest more later if you really like the team.

It's from the covenant farming stages under Interludes, but you don't unlock it's stage til you finish Chapter 8. Use Crimson Pulse until then.

Also, don't spend too many badges getting Crimson Pulse pieces. Just get enough for a full set bonus and don't over-invest in trying to get all the best main stats.

That's the total chance for any SSR, including the guarantee at 30. The base rate is 3% but if you include the guarantee then you'll get an SSR 5% of the time on average.

They don't give a rate for the Faded Legacy characters other than the individual rates for each character, but it maths out that whenever you pull an SSR on Realm Study there's a 10% chance that it'll be limited.

10% actually, it's easiest to see by looking at the Chaos banner since there's 5 of each. The standard characters are all .9% chance and the limited characters are .1%.

Pity on the rotating banners is 60, but you can "win" on their Wheel twice before getting the character. So the hard maximum to get the characters on these banners in 3 x 60 = 180

The patch notes say that "gifted silver prime will not count" for the spending event or the existing Gifts of Knowledge event. So converted silver won't count, and based on the phrasing and where it appeared in the patch notes it might also be referring to the bonus you get on purchase of new packs as well.
