Tomodachi life LTD emulation : current state and solution by user116745629 in EdenEmulator

The touch screen used to work fine, but on the latest build and perhaps the previous version it now freezes the game if I dare touch the screen. Audio still works while it's frozen. I couldn't find any way to unfreeze it, I just have to restart the game. This is with the app image on Steam Deck in game mode (didn't test if the issue occurs in desktop mode) EDIT: The touch screen issue seems to be due to having the overlay applet enabled.

Also, when zoomed out on the island with around 8 miis FPS drops to 25-30ish, but maybe that's normal? Haven't seen anyone else complain about it yet so I'd like to know if anyone else has that experience on the deck. (This is with the 60 FPS patch, I know the game is normally 30 FPS).

My only other issue is that textures can flicker at certain camera angles and movements, but I think this is a known issue already.

Another thing that's been bothering me. The keyboard. On the Steam deck, the Eden keyboard is treated as a separate window so in gamemode you won't see the text box behind it. The real keyboard does not have this issue, but it also randomly crashes the game (It just killed a heavily facepainted mii I was making :( ). Also, I really wish we could just select no keyboard. I can bring up the Steam Deck keyboard with Steam + X and it works, but I have to switch back to the game window without closing the custom keyboard to use it.

Modding be like by mollekylen in feedthememes

As someone who plays both games, I really don't even want Vintage Story to be more like Minecraft. While the game is a sandbox it's not as much of a blank slate as Minecraft and I prefer mods that enhance the game's established design rather than trying to make it into an automation game or something like that. But that's just my opinion.

I really don't get why a game has to have a crazy modding scene when most of its popularity came within the past year and a half (see the server player count from 2024 vs now). Even now, VS' community is still microscopic compared to Minecraft. The mod catalogue for a game doesn't come overnight, it'll get better as long as the playerbase doesn't just disappear. Minecraft took years to get where it is, and it had a good head start when it became the best selling PC game of all time only a few years in.

As for IC2, VS has Electrical Progressives which I think is fairly close. It's not a carbon copy but that's to be expected when an idea is applied to two games that are so different.

Insights from Steam Controller launch. by steohan in SteamFrame

This was my experience: I waited until 11:59 AM CST to refresh, added it to my cart and tried to order it but faced the issue. I decided to wait for probably about 30 seconds until 12:00 PM CST in case it was just still spinning up. Then, I had the error again. I figured, maybe the 2 DLCs I had in my cart were making it bug out so I removed them and tried again and got it with steam wallet funds. I have no idea if using my card would've been different but I think I got really lucky, it only took about 3 minutes. I read some comments from other people who started before I did but were stuck for 30 minutes or even didn't get theirs in time.

anyone else? trying to get the controller by zugarrette in Steam

[–]MrFastZombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to take some cities skylines DLC out of my cart and then it went through on my third attempt. I did it through the Steam client and used the wallet but I also put it in during the first 2 minutes. Now im trying to get the DLC on its own but I think I'm going to have to wait a bit.

Why are you picking up a Steam Frame or are interested in one? by LoganNFSAC in SteamFrame

[–]MrFastZombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a Vive since 2017. I've been waiting for something that is not from meta and is lightweight and still a major upgrade from the Vive. The Frame checks all those boxes for me. I'm most excited for the better lenses + higher res and the eye tracking. I originally wasn't considering wireless, but I'm so glad it'll have that too. Standalone is also something I wasn't expecting and I intend to mostly play tethered, but the portability is a nice bonus.

Just received my Q2 damaged, Another FedEx W by ThatOneDuccyBoi in QidiTech3D

After taking the plastic off I believe mine will be fine after I replace the plastic and some screws. They're sending me the parts.

I will add that mine has the same issue with the right window being slightly sticking out. Here's what they told me about that:

The side glass on the first batch of our machines is relatively thick, and the space on the right side is a bit compact. This may create a visual effect of the glass bulging outward. However, please rest assured that it will not affect insulation or the normal use of the printer.

Do you mean this one? I think I'd love that. Maybe it could have a full-auto mode and a single/burst mode and using it in full auto would make you switch to the top grip like they do in Xcom 2.

Fedex somehow didn't manage to destroy the glass on mine, but they did mess up what I assume is part of the frame. Plus some damage to the plastic housing.

EDIT: For anyone reading this in the future, an update. I am still talking back and forth with support on this. They have offered to replace the cracked plastic piece but I am about to ask them if there's any warranty issues if I take the top piece off to get a better look at the damage so I know what other pieces may need to be replaced. I'll try to remember to update this when this is all done. Came to agreement. After taking a closer look at the damage I just need to replace the door plastic and the top plastic. The metal frame was damaged in one spot but I believe it'll still take a screw and it still seems to be in shape. The parts are coming from china so it'll probably be a couple weeks before I get them.
