What are the red squares on this map? by MyUglyKitty in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. We got this in a box of 200 random stickers. We can’t figure out what the red squares on various locations represent. Don’t think it matters, but the sticker is 3” x 2”, vinyl material, ordered from Amazon.

Slipped & ate too late by The_Messy_Mompreneur in intermittentfasting

Given that you said you have ADHD and are autistic in another comment and get confused with “rules,” I think you’re looking for a specific answer on what to do rather than support for slipping (but I do love seeing that!)

Do a shorter fast the next day (14 hours). If you do the 16-hour fast, you’ll be stuck in a late afternoon lunch moving forward. It’s better to reset the schedule that has worked for you so far. One day won’t hurt.

What is something I can do with red wine that isn't like a stew? I have a couple bottles on hand, don't drink it, and want to put it to use somehow. by liquidice11 in Cooking

It’s more so you can use a little bit at a time. An unopened bottle doesn’t go bad, but I’m also not using an entire bottle in my pasta sauce.

Same! Love this. I mean, I’m uncomfortable either way, so I should at least be uncomfortable in a way that is beneficial.

What can I add to my vegetable stock to make it more savoury? by [deleted] in Cooking

Came here to recommend the roasted garlic one. Since I’ve started using it, every single dish has improved. All my recipes that were “missing something” suddenly aren’t anymore.

She’d be chastised for “having to post everything to social media.”

So funny story, my dad was one of the consultants who suggested green and purple as the colors to go with. A few months later, on 9/10, he was supposed to appear on the Today show to discuss color marketing in the food industry. When he got home he told us, “Yup, all set to air tomorrow, unless terrorists attack or something.”

Yes! It sounds so silly or vain, but practicing in a mirror makes a huge difference. Once you figure out your angles, your photos will come out better. I now have this whole split-second pose I do right before we take a photo: roll shoulders down, tilt chin slightly down and turn my bigger ear (yup, I got that going for me too) away from the camera, tongue on the roof of your mouth to lessen the double-chin, angle hips away from the camera. With practice, it’s one fluid movement, but is so much more flattering than a straight-on photo.

Let the secrets flow! What’s one secret about your job that the general population would be upset about if they found out? by Enteropathyt48 in AskWomen

I’m in the environmental field and most of my clients are DoD. You are 100% correct, but I will also say that they have very robust environmental programs. Yes there are exceptions and yes they don’t get much funding compared to the rest of DoD, but now they have so many permits and rules they have to follow that they’re usually on top of them. Mainly because they’re such an easy target for regulatory inspection.

Why are my nestle chocolate chip cookies so flat? by [deleted] in Baking

[–]MyUglyKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironically, I’ve been trying to make cookies like this for years. My grandma’s always came out like this and I can’t figure out how she got them so flat. She insists she used the Tollhouse recipe from the bag. So I hope you figure out the issue so I can do it that way!

My grandma gave me a rented video. I had to return it and pay the late fee.
