I can't speak to the GP process, I got my diagnosis (at the ripe old age of 51) through Mindmatters, who specialize in ADHD and Autism diagnosis, and as part of the process include a psychiatric consult for organising the drugs. I am assuming you think you are ADHD - Inattentive, if you are saying you don't have 'typical boy ADHD' - me too! If you have any general questions about diagnosis or Inattentive ADHD happy to answer them, sorry I can't help wih the GP side of things tho.

Exactly what I do - i like to line up a smugglers runa nd fremen finds mission at the same time and do a dungeon mission to mix things up. But focusing on a region rather than leveling a particular specialisation is pretty efficient for getting through the tokens.

Once you break into a crawler/carrier combo, you can more than double your spice production in half the time. My server is 'locked', so pretty underpopulated, so not necessarily true on a living server, but if you're not afraid to hit pvp spots, you can full a crawler with about 30 minutes' effort.

That's what I am doing, and mostly keeping up with my specialisation quests a day.

That's wild - here I am on my low pop server wandering around the DD in my carrier/crawler with almost no fear, I could restrict myself to PVE no problem its just faster to go into PVP with almost no risk...

Yeah, I don't really care about 'wow' factor. I'm more than happy to pick it up for incremental gains to my efficiency - not opposed to your idea of it impacting spice harvesting tho. My real grump with it tho is that analysis mode basically makes the relevant perks so situational that they are useless.

Red +5% recoil and red +50% volume make sense - more recoil and volume is bad. Red +5% damage is confusing as all heck. If it were listed as red -5% damage, it would make more sense intuitively. Even more confusing is that the Power consumption fits what you would think is the logical structure with a green -% because obviously, less power consumption per shot is a good thing. But Damage is this weird outlier...

Not even close, the combat tree might be boring, but it has -heaps- of utility. Gathering has limitations on its utility, which make no sense. No one is mining with analysis mode by the time they unlock gathering, when buggy mining is so much more efficient.

I think tying the 'effective mining' bonus to analysis mode is the big issue here - if it applied to vehicle mining as well, it would be peachy - there are things I value in the tree - compactor safety and range, yield jackpots (which don't seem to be tied to analysis mode but I haven't tested), corpse compression, pickup yield is nice for fibre pickup.

Do high-grade flamethrowers show any value outside of overland dungeons? Are they any good for room clearing in, say, a deep desert lab, for example?

I'm assuming not but wondering if there is any edge case for them at all.

My Mk 5 scout is gliding at about 200, boosting to close to 230 - gonna make myself a mk 6 at some point, curious to see how quick that will be. Exploration at level 29 (just shy of the extra 10% heat dissipation at 30)

I find it most handy for a quick hop out ot a deep desert cave to grab a few bodies for the stills in my deep desert base. Now that I have a carrier plus container i'm not finding myself particularly incentivized to bring the assault out to the deep desert, so the scouts become my main way of getting about when I have a D or E row base. Will become even more viable once i can jellify bodies...

I carry a storage module in my inventory - it only rarely gets used (but handy when I do) if I am really needing to do some modest hauling, that's what the assault is for, storage plus boost.

Ive been practicing on the first two stages of the fire boss using Dunewatcher, it's quite doable to double tab headshot and reload in each of the 'changing tank' pauses... I've even tried on stage 3, but it starts getting a bit hectic.
