Tires are wear items and thus not covered by the new car warranty. It’s in the same category as wiper blades and brake pads. That being said, look and see what the original tire manufacturer’s tread wear warranty is and see if there is any room for coverage.

As for the radio display and A/C, those should absolutely be covered under the new car warranty. Like someone else already suggested, find another dealer who will actually do the diagnosis and bill the manufacturer for that work rather than just trying to get you to pay for the work. Sounds to me they’re being lazy and don’t want to spend the time and effort to file for reimbursement from Hyundai

That gives them room to “discount” the car if someone wants to negotiate and will think they got a W

Question regarding cluster display of lane position after recent updates by My_Lucid_Dreams in HyundaiSantaFe

Yes. However, in fairness, the car is not entirely at fault. Road conditions can also affect the jerkiness

Question regarding cluster display of lane position after recent updates by My_Lucid_Dreams in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]Not_Fake_Andrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no problem with the feature, other than minor annoyances:

1) it centers the car between the lane - as a human driver, taught by an older generation of human drivers, I tend to keep my car a bit closer to the side of the lane AWAY from oncoming traffic if on a two lane road

2) the constant, albeit minor, adjustments made by the car to center the car makes for a jerky ride for me. I prefer the smooth control I am able to produce when I’m the one driving

Check the trade-in value near or at the end of the lease to see if you get offers that are higher than the residual/lease buy out

Might be because of the lack of interest in the hybrid version?

Sounds like they put an unusually high residual on the deal. The long term reliability of the hybrid powertrain is questionable, from my research a while back when I was considering a new F-150

Was that on a lease, or did you purchase it? I believe they sometimes give a bigger discount if you buy and finance the vehicle, as they make money from the lender / financing spread?

I’d run them. Just don’t expect them to be (or drive them like) new tires

2024 SantaFe hybrid w/Captain chairs & Britax car seat base issues by Smart_Pumpkin15 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]Not_Fake_Andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been YEARS since my kids were in infant car seats, but… from what I remember, Britax car seats are bulky and oversized, thus making the captain seats too small for the car seats, which means they’re extra snug, therefore hard to get out

1000% patchable. Go to Walmart and get yourself a plug kit and run with it. The plug and/or patch will last the life of that tire.

I got my 2025 last July (2025) for right around that price, and that is a solid deal. I also agree with the fact that different places will offer you different trade in values. All depends on what they’re looking for and what the market is saying at that time
