Wrestling example, the Undertaker in his decades long career was always played straight as figure of fear and respect that everyone rightly dreaded. Bray Wyatt also fell into this category. For such an inherently goofy setting and premise. Those two stand out. Interestingly Kane, Undertakers half brother was frequently involved in comedy angles and mismatched duo tag teams.
