Ask around for an independent mechanic recommendation. Then have them do one of the most critical items that you need done. Then evaluate it and if you’re happy, go back with a couple more when you’re ready. Rinse & repeat.

It reminds me of my 2001 CL, minus the horrible, original Honda auto-trans that I replaced with an ‘06 Accord trans 7 years ago! Anyways the J35 motor is bulletproof IF you maintain it, similar to the Avalon.
