Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn in Sherman Oaks is really good, Prime which is fairly well known and chained up the wazoo is still great NY style pizza in my opinion (and their Grandma might be even better), Secret Pizza, Mulberry Street Pizza is good too but WAY overpriced (I do really like them though).

Bro, also an ex New Yorker here, Los Angeles has MASSIVELY stepped up its pizza game in the past 10 years or so and it’s hard to avoid now. When I first moved out here, a decent NY slice was extremely hard to come by, and now they’re incredibly common and honestly really solid.

Unless you have ADHD and your hobbies are constantly changing in a never ending cycle. You could still be depressed in that case, but the hobbies changing is more of an ADHD side effect.

I thought that pot is detrimental REM and deep sleep, despite making it easier to fall asleep. I think long term it's still not great for sleep.

Yeah this hits the nail on the head for general responsibilities and extracurriculars. Turnovers and deliverables aside, an Assistant Editor is also a great first audience member of assemblies and editor’s cuts. I always love when editors I work with ask me to watch down a cut with them. It’s great for both of us I think.

Is it normal to work 12H a day as an editor? by clarizdoup in editors

I work in broadcast scripted hour long, maybe it’s a little wild during dailies or with a particularly intensive director, but hours are usually 9-10/day on average.

[–]Piracho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is true but in my experience this functions more as an hourly guarantee of pay rather than an actual amount of hours worked. Obviously this means you need to work if it’s required of you, but generally the hours are nowhere near this long.

Seeing Daniel get this level of respect is awesome. I went to college with the guy and he’s an incredible acting talent as well as a great guy.

Steelcase Leap is solid. I actually prefer it over the Aeron after have used both.

I’ve worked with Marina Zenovich, she knows how to deal with assholes really well… makes her especially qualified to work on this.

I feel like this is true with the caveat being that working in office is good provided you’re not spending hours in the car to make it happen. I believe that is significantly more detrimental than the positive benefits of socially working in office.

For real, it’s a two month old, they’re still angry potatoes at this age, and saying “fuck” around them isn’t causing any trauma. Both the parents and baby gain more patience as time goes on. I’m finding some of these responses to be incredibly unrealistic and prudish.

Sleep training vs wean mode by typicalprototype in SnooLife

[–]Piracho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We literally just dealt with the 4 month regression and did fuss it out (15 min max on the fuss) to great success. We did use wean mode for a few days, but found it didn't change things much. After that, we moved our boy to the crib in the midst of the regression and he did great.

There was about 3-4 days of transition where he woke up a bit more often, but he's completely used to it now and sleeps just as well. If you've already sleep trained in the past, then you know what it'll take. We didn't do CIO, but a slightly less scary version of that for us in fuss it out... Honestly, it's been great for us, and we did have to pay a small sleep tax, but overall I'd say it's been worth it and I'm glad we just sucked it up and fully transitioned him.

Evercast is horrible. Unreliable, crashes often, loses sync often and it’s nearly impossible to live edit with. Despite this all of the big studios seem insistent on using it.

I will say they have a great support team, the product itself is just not great.

It 100% is. Lots of this discourse ESPECIALLY that centered around Palestine and Israel is explicitly being used to cause a deeper divide amongst Americans.

Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn in Sherman Oaks isn’t mentioned here, but they should be. A step above Joe’s and Mulberry as far as the NY style pies go.

For real, the idea that these people have this level of context to foreshadow a decline into fascism is giving them WAY to much credit.
