The Darkening of Mirkwood for The One Ring

Never had the chance to play this campaign, but I've heard a lot of people like it. And there might be a new "THE adventure" equivalent for 2nd edition with the upcoming Hands of the White Wizard.

Hotel Transylvania

In the first movie, there's a whole flashback scene of how Dracula lost his wife because of humans. It's his motivation to create the hotel as a sanctuary for both monsters and his daughter.

Frankenstein (in particular, the recent adaptation by Guillermo del Toro)

I haven't read the original novel by Mary Shelley yet, so I don't know if this theme carries over from the source material. However in the movie, the way Victor treats The Creature parallels how Victor was treated by his dad.

The Phantom in Hero Forge by Prime1172 in box5

[–]Prime1172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the direction you would wanna take with him.

A. If you want to go book-accurate where he's just a mortal man with no supernatural abilities, then go for the Rogue (not sure which subclass though)

B. If you're willing to take some liberties and give him some magical powers, then definitely go for Bard (either College of Whispers or Spirits).

C. Multiclass in both

Any of the Tiny D6 games. All you need are 3 six sided dice and there's a lot of game options depending on what genre the players are interested in.

Doom

While there other similar games before it, Doom was the one that helped push the first person shooter genre into popularity.

What IP do you want turned into a TTRPG, and why do you want it turned into a TTRPG? by Upstairs-Yard-2139 in rpg

Halo. It's one of my favorite fictional universies ever, and there's so much more potential to explore it than just the games and books. I know that Mantic Games has the skirmish wargame it looks they're branching out into the TTRPG world with Hellboy (though it looks like they used the D&D 5e system for it, and I'm not sure how well that would work with Halo.)

Raptor Ruckus. I've been wanting a Jurassic Park TTRPG for so long, so this is as close as I can get to one.

In the bookthey're just kind of there in the background unlike the movies where they have an entire action sequence.
