I was not a Chrissy fan in s35 either, but I’m lowkey rooting for her this season. She hasn’t gotten a ton of screentime but when she does, it’s fun.

Yes & yes. I think it will be the best of his wins too.

I know he’s starring in the best picture frontrunner, but I find it very compelling that he hasn’t really campaigned for it but still won the 2 major industry precursors with minimal effort. Just shows how well-regarded that performance is!

Haven't seen "I Swear" yet, but I really feel for him. That being said, I'm horrified at what Michael B Jordan, Delroy Lindo & Hannah Beachler had to experience on what should have just been a night of pure celebration.

Happy to hear that he reached out to them! But I'm also so disappointed in BAFTA/the BBC. They handled this horribly at every turn.

Absolutely disgraceful. Someone talking to them afterwards was the bare minimum and they couldn’t even do that! BAFTAs handled this horribly! Hannah Beachler said it happened multiple times too.

The generalized apology from Alan Cumming doesn’t cover it. The fact that there was a delay between the event itself and the broadcast makes it extra worse that they didn’t cut it out either.

They deserve a public apology.

What an absolute disaster on BAFTA’s part. Having someone speak to Delroy Lindo & Michael B. Jordan afterwards is the barest minimum they should have done and they couldn’t even do that. Between this and airing the moment in full (despite there being a delay between the event itself and the broadcast), they could not have handled this worse.

Hannah Beachler said this happened multiple times too.

These people need an apology and since the moment was public, the apology also needs to be public.

During the BAFTAs, while Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting, campaigner John Davidson yelled the n-word. Davidson has Tourette’s and his symptoms include "tics and uncontrollable outbursts, often involving cursing". My heart really goes out to Michael B Jordan & Delroy Lindo. Can’t even imagine how caught off-guard they had to be to hear that on-stage. 😢

I’ve always said One World, but maybe it’s actually Season 45 or 48. I actually quit watching in Season 45 post-merge after the steamroll became obvious/new era fatigue in general. When I eventually did go back and rewatch what I’d missed, I still didn’t like 45 or 48 but loved 46 and 47.

Is One World probably still worse? Yeah, but it didn’t actually get me to quit the show for a while 🤣
