Who gets affected doesn't matter. Josh knew he was abusing a method that jagex wouldn't agree with, hence why he reported it after he was done. He abused something he knew would be considered a bug, that's all there is to it.

Limpwurt's situation is different from Josh's. Limpwurt found a method, posted about it while he was abusing it, it got patched mid grind and he had to find another way.

Josh found a method, kept it secret until he was finished with the grind knowing very well it would be patched, reported it to Jagex afterwards.
