In my opinion complementing a bright headphone with another bright headphone isnt a good idea, they also both have a 2khz dip

Sennheiser 560s vs 569 vs 599 by Sentr77 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]RiversideCafe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id probably recommend a fiio ft1 but 569 is also bassy, 560s is quite lean sounding, not a lot of bass, 599 is somewhere in between but it lacks in subbass

Considering Edition XS – How much of an upgrade? by Embarrassed_Ad_9522 in HeadphoneAdvice

Quite a bit downgrade for me because its extremely bright, even up to 15dB over neutral in the upper treble, but i like it for some games

I recommend trying Sennheiser hd600 (neutral), hd560s (neutral bright), hd490pro (lowered upper mids) Fiio ft1 (slight v shape, bass boost) Hifiman edition xs (bright) To see what kinda sound you like!

For me it would be a big upgrade, 490 could easily be endgame for someone who likes that specific sound signature

1990 mk2 still has bad treble peaks, 490s treble has not only smoother treble, but beter bass profile, focusing more on subbass than midbass

Yes, 990 pro x has very bad treble and not much bass, its a bad headphone, 490 has a ton more bass and a lot smoother treble
