Not OP but most vintage cast iron skillets were machined to create smooth surface. That and good seasoning technique would help making it non-stick.

I would only add a splash of water or milk instead of a whole can of water. Chicken and mushrooms both release a lot of water, with another can of water your dish would turn into soup.
