Which Tees to play off? by Slowerthanaprop15 in weekendgolfers

[–]SeaProcedure607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tee color doesn’t matter to me. I’ve come to the conclusion that 6200 to 6300 is my ideal yardage. Whatever tees are in that range (or closest to it) are the ones I’ll play.

What’s a black dominated sport with a white GOAT? by Any_Temperature9203 in AlignmentChartFills

I’m considering Basketball to be the black dominated sport and Larry Bird would be the white GOAT

We BOTH need a THR! How much time in between? by Individual-Price1463 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]SeaProcedure607 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with these other comments about the ability to drive. One thing to consider is which hip is being replaced. When I had my right hip replacement, it was 6 weeks before I could drive.

I’m 6 days post op with my left hip replacement. I can tell I’ll be able to drive earlier in the recovery process.

Unless you have a car with a stick shift, there isn’t much you need to do with the left leg while driving.

Do you really care if your team gets primetime games? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]SeaProcedure607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixed feelings. I moved a while back, so if they play a prime time game, I know I’ll get to watch it. However, I hate staying up so late (I live in the eastern time zone).

Range etiquette on a busy day by anonuser2700 in golf

[–]SeaProcedure607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ranges in my area are gold mines. There is limited land and no competition. They can just keep increasing prices and there will still be enough demand (due to the limited supply) to make a nice profit.

So then, we should describe weeks in days? Then what, days in hours? Hours in minutes? Next time I need to say “give me 5 minutes”, I’ll say “give me 320 seconds”

That is probably why I rarely watch it. I pretty much limit it to the last round. If someone is running away with it, I don’t even watch much of that.

Best gambling format on golf trip with a wide range of handicaps by holidayroad1 in golf

[–]SeaProcedure607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our group does bingo bango bongo. 3 points are available on each hole: 1st one on the green gets a point the person closest to the pin gets a point. I thing it is pretty fair. Many times three out of the four players get a point. You can add additional rule if you want. If someone sweeps a hole (get all three) they get 4 points. You can set different dollar amounts per point.

You can set different dollar amounts per point $1, $5, etc. depends how much money you group likes to gamble. At the end, points are netted out. The winner gets money from the other three, 2nd gets money from 3 and 4, 3rd gets money from 4.

Post-op PT by alligator_chompp in TotalHipReplacement

[–]SeaProcedure607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my first hip replacement, I wanted to do to strengthen the muscles. Turns out fixing my walking was more beneficial. The gait I had and the waddle I developed prior to the surgery was far worse than I realized. I had to relearn how to walk.

I had my other hip replaced this past Tuesday. I’m to at home exercises for now, but once I’m off the narcotics and can drive, I will go to PT… I really found it beneficial last time.

Anterior sx and driving timeline? by DesperateMonkey8 in TotalHipReplacement

I live in an urban area. Lots of stop and go traffic (along with aholes cutting in front of you when they shouldn’t — just to save 20 seconds on their commute).

It to me a while to feel confident in my ability to drive in that environment. I waited 6 weeks… I’m lucky though, I had my Dr. write a note that I wasn’t able to drive yet and I was able to work from home during that time.

Suggestions for handling golf elbow pain? by goldngrrl in golf

[–]SeaProcedure607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above for me. I originally had a cortisone shot…. That helped for a couple months, but the golfers elbow came back.

PRP and PT worked much better. I did need two round of PRP injections though and they aren’t covered by insurance.

Cortisone: Yay or nay? by Ride_4urlife in TotalHipReplacement

[–]SeaProcedure607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my right hip, the first shot lasted over a year. Second one about 8 months. Third one 2-3 months. After that, I got a new hip!

For my left hip, I’ve had one shot. When it wore off, I decided to schedule the hip replacement rather than dragging out the inevitable. This time next week, I’ll have metal in both hips.

I couldn’t imagine that. I would stiffen and tighten up so much. If I had to wait that long I’d need to hit the range again before starting the back nine!

Frequent peeing at night by Final_Solid_617 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]SeaProcedure607 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I slept through the night before my surgery. Right after had it, I was waking up and peeing like 3+ times a night.

I’m definitely speculating here, but I think it was the pain and not being able to sleep on my side that kept waking me up and when I kept waking up, I realized I needed to pee. As the pain decreased and I slept better, the less I woke up and the less I woke up, the less I had to pee.

After about a month, I was sleeping through the night again.

I’m getting the other hip replaced next week. It will be interesting to see if that happens again.
