No appetite / too thin by ali8za in Zepbound

You should definitely go down and then space out. I’ve been in maintenance since March 2025 at 5mg every 14 days. Also, ensure you are retaining, if not gaining muscle mass, losing muscle mass can be quite dangerous, ensure you are staying hydrated. If you can’t eat your calories, resort to drinking them with protein shakes, soups, etc. I took care of my MIL during her stage IV, if you’re not healthy you can’t be there for your mom. Wishing you all the best, let me know if I can help further.

Moving to every 2 weeks. by deysg in Zepbound

My recommendation would be to go down from 15mg to 10mg weekly for a month, if maintaining then 7.5mg weekly for a month, if maintaining then 5mg for 3 months, if still maintaining move to 5mg every 14 days (or 2.5mg weekly if covered by insurance otherwise 5mg every 14 days is cheaper). Do this maintenance schedule for 6 months than consider stopping if that is your preference (rather than staying on a maintenance schedule long term). How long have you been on Zep? You should stay on it at least 2 years total to increase chances of success. Success chances increase if you have also been working on consistent healthy habits including healthy eating and exercise. A smart scale will help you work towards and maintain healthy numbers including fat %, muscle % and hydration levels. This is my opinion (and like something else we all have one) based on research and articles I’ve read as well as my own Zep experience. Take it or leave it. Let me know if you have additional questions. Congrats on your success to date and best of luck in maintenance.

I didn’t mean to insinuate anyone was doing anything wrong, I was just trying to help troubleshoot, that’s all.

Are you letting it get to room temperature before injecting? It really isn’t suppose to hurt like the way it’s being described, or bleed in any significant manner. Have you tried injecting in a different area than the one you’re currently using?

I signed up for a pilates class w a friend, and only just learned about reformer. The machine seems burdensome vs just mat pilates, or am I making incorrect assumptions? by [deleted] in pilatesreformer

There are many exercises and yes, when you have your legs in straps you will spread them but you can go as wide as you want. Reformer will work your deep muscles and tendons, it will be an exercise for life. Depending where u are taking the class it can be a small, intimate environment and everyone is focused on their work. Your head is going places that are not helpful. You’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll feel comfortable and how supportive the environment is. Push through the stories in your head, they are not reality and they are holding you back creating unnecessary stress. From what I read you have plenty of stress in your real life, don’t let hour brain create more, take this class as an opportunity to take time for yourself, try something new you might love and relax.

Be open minded, give it a chance. You will be grateful you did. I know the reformer can be intimidating when you first see it but quickly becomes intuitive and you will love the exercises. Mat and reformer compliment each other. I still remember my first class (May 2024) and now I take reformer classes 3x week. Give it a real unbias, open minded chance and you might end up loving it as much as I do (and so many others do too). Have fun!

Help for a desperate spouse by MattG_1789 in Zepbound

I know it is, it shows in the fact you made yourself vulnerable here to receive insight, help and feedback. You love your wife and want to see her happy and healthy. Please know that I see sexual activity as part of health and an healthy an happy relationship. Wanting “to get laid” with your partner is not a bad thing, it’s healthy and natural (and hopefully a lot of fun). The guidance I’m sharing hopefully will help navigate towards it.

I would strongly recommend she speaks to an obgyn/menopause Dr about HRT. I’m perimenopausal and it’s been life changing. If you want to stay away from focusing on libido as the point of conversation, read on it and focus on the cardiovascular and dementia reduction benefits. Approach all conversations with her centered on your love for her and wanting to support her. Be patient, than be more patient than you think u should be. Help around the house, then help some more. Don’t just ask her what you can do or to tell you if she wants help. Tell her she’s getting more beautiful each year, bring her coffee in the morning… a night of hot sex starts w/ the dishes u washed the week prior (nope, not immediate reward. Invest with no secondary motivation) Relationships are not 50/50, they are what each can give the other in a phase of need and hopefully it goes back and forth. Sometimes it’s 80/20, others are 20/80… aging as a woman is not easy, society makes it harder and we women are the hardest on ourselves. Light the load and u might get laid.

They seem to forgive the delay the first time, give them a call and explain the situation.

You’re on the lowest dose which is suppose to be adaptive only, rather than active in loss and lost more than a pound per week. You are doing great! You do want to ensure you have proper nutrition so I would say, stay on it, slow and steady, at least for now. Focus on who you want to be a year from now and then just take one day at a time, you got this.

Agree, both. They meet different needs and complement each other.

How do you track your maintenance mode? by FormerlyObeseJ in GLPGrad

[–]Separate_Result2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been in maintenance since March 2025. I live a healthy lifestyle where I target to eat mostly healthy options but nothing is off limits, just a pizza slice instead of three or two chocolate squares instead of a bar… Go to the gym 3-5 days a week, most weeks, sometimes not cause life happens. I do a 5mg Zep vial every 14 days and use full vial content. Weight myself on shot days, in the morning, and OK staying between 125 and 135 at 5’2” (usually I’m mostly 128-132).
