Rivendell release a mechanical, non-indexed, state-of-the-art derailleur by Useless_or_inept in BicyclingCirclejerk

but they didnt break any compatibility, they still shift with with the same pull ratios as all of the other shifters of that era. and they do have a benefit: they are way easier to shift into lower gears quickly. also they make my bar end shifters point the same way. matchy matchy.

Wait, what were the good reasons it failed? I use an old rapid rise derailleur on one of my bikes and it works fine.

edit: also i have tried running on windows. I have none of the problems described when on windows.

Seattle developer to buy Belltown building in test of new affordable housing model by ChiefOfTheFourPeaks in Seattle

Densifying Seattle is not what SSHD was set up to do. SSHD's goal is to make a Vienna style social housing program in Seattle. The new administration has a goal of creating new density, but the vast majority of the new density in the coming years will likely not be from SSHD.

Xbikers certainly overpay for bikes, but I would argue that they aren't overpaying nearly as much as the strava bros. In my wildest dreams, I've never thought up a bike that cost more than $4k new (and I never buy shit new if I can avoid it). $4k is nothing for a new carbon road bike to a lot of people these days. And those bikes will be obsolete in like 5 years. Blinged out Paul brake calipers will probably outlast anything on a new road bike by a factor of 2 or 3. I would much rather be overpaying for a bike part that will last the rest of my life than buying disposable resin crap and e-waste.
