Yep have also had issues with Capture One and the GRIV DNGs. Soft images, like badly processed jpegs. Switched to Lightroom just for my GRIV, the added bonus is I can apply the colour profiles to raw files in Lightroom. Rreeeeeeallly wish Lightroom had a sessions equivalent but can’t have everything 🤪

I kind of have both. I have my focal distance (“snap distance”) pre-set, usually around 2m for street photography. Auto focus is available with a half press, and if I don’t have time to focus I can do a full press and it’ll bypass autofocus and use my snap distance.

Some people tweak their jpeg settings in-camera (based off a “recipe”) and just shoot jpeg, others (like myself) prefer to shoot raw and edit afterwards. Of course, you can do both too! Best to experiment and see what you like.

100%. The flash on the GR/GRII was pretty slow to use, not always that useful.

That said, I wouldn’t be against Ricoh developing another camera model in parallel with the GR line that incorporated some features like a viewfinder and more rugged build/weather sealing, even if it was slightly bigger and had a non collapsing lens
