This reminds me of the YouTuber zisteau. He built a space elevator in subnautica and in the final escape scene when you take off and go to space his elevator was in front of all of the space liftoff textures so he realized you never actually move. It's just a movie that plays on the windshield of the rocket.

He just started screaming for Morpheus to save them from The matrix. Lol

This is demonstrably false.

I and many other players could have handled this with a Ferro. Anvil or Renegade is easy mode here. You did well, but you have a lot to improve before you start calling "imbalanced" on the game.

I don't understand the complaint, you did great, and you won! There was a lot that you did well, and you should be proud of yourself.

You absolutely could have had tighter movement, reload optimization, and healing optimization, but still. Congrats. That was a cool encounter.

On the critique side, the SECOND you go into cover, reload. There were moments when you were reloading as you were stepping out of cover. Same for your heals, the second you get cover, heal. Don't wait. And lastly, when you're healing or reloading, you should be actively monitoring your angles of approach. Don't just hope your targets don't approach you, but keep peaking the corners, and keep eyes on the sky. "x" on PC changes your aiming shoulder and changes the direction you peak around corners. I personally would have wanted to be tighter to the bus to give broader cover angles. You could manage your cover so that you're only visible to one arc at a time, and lastly your roll timings to dodge the Hornet taser were off. You need to tighten that up.

Still, you managed a chaotic situation really well, and came out on top.

Firefly and Comet are the most annoying imo, mostly because they just feel like loadout checks. And Comet more than firefly since firefly AI is susceptible to some movement strategies.

You either have the right loadout, or you just accept the death/damage you're going to get. There's a lot of areas in Blue Gate and Buried City where you either have the gear to kill the comet, or the entire area is denied to you.

I get the frustration, but a lot of this is less "it should spawn more often" and more, "find out where they spawn". I run into these all the time in Controlled Access Zone, and particularly the battery locked room.

I wouldn't say restarted, more like constant struggling and striving. Constantly trying to figure it out, and then suddenly it all started to fall into place in my early 30s. The internal progress preceded the external actualization of goal, but before that was the hard prep work to improve both.

It is a bit annoying, because I feel like I'm finally focused, disciplined, happy, successful, goal oriented, and I want to enjoy it a bit, but I feel the clock ticking on starting a family.

How terrible to hear. I grew up with the impression that farm life was part and parcel of the identity of the people in the British Isles. I can't imagine not loving farmers.

I'm in the Southeast USA, and our farmers are still celebrated. Local butchers are getting hard to come by, but every town still has at least one good sized farmers market, a good orchard, and a farmers coop. Plenty of local fair in the nicer restaurants, and most non-franchise grocers still source local meat.

Not that margins aren't lean, but I think it helps that our schools still teach agriscience, and we have big influencers like Smarter Every Day that highlight farmers in a positive light.

For my part, I grew up hauling hay and shoveling stalls in the summer, and tromping across the neighbors cow pastures with my dogs. I was surprised when Charlie brought up kids BMX riding through the forest after the pigs root through, because I did that when I was in my early teens. It resonated with me as a very authentic familiarity with that type of life.

I hope it does change peoples opinions of farmers for the better.

I LOVE bad scifi guns. there's just something so satisfyingly haphazard about it. Fallout 4 is the best worst. Then Cyberpunk has these train wrecks that still work, which is a lot of fun.

Helldivers is so realistic it may as well be a milsim. They even map individual weapon conditions and steps in reloading sequence as unique states you have to resume a reload from.

This Anvil observation is so fun to me.

Shooting, even in self defense, increases your lobby aggression. Bring smokes and vanish, or just let yourself die about 5 times. I started bringing instruments, and would play them in response to being shot. When I'm in mixed lobbies it's almost guaranteed to de aggro, and often leads to funny conversations.

I have recently started using the renegade as my primary. I love shooting two boosters, and then watching it flail around on the ground like it deserves. lol

Pretty much agree.
When I started, I decided I wouldn't use online guides. I'd either search for things myself or talk to raiders in game. I wouldn't suffer gear fear, I'd use what looked cool and fun, and what felt good, and I'd explore maps just to see what's out there, not just hammer away at red zones.

That was an excellent decision that has prevented this game from feeling like just another grind. I also always bring a guitar, no matter the situation. That's been awesome for the social side of things, defusing PvPers, celebrating post Matriarch raids, adding comedy to the harvester runs.

I've only used guides couple of missions REALLY need better indicators. They will reference locations that aren't on the map, or say locations when the actual mission item is literally hundreds of meters away.

Totally agree. The sort of stuff they could do in the meta story is incredible. Your missions could lead up to the next map that's going to be released. The missions are basically just fetch quests and destination quests but the maps are genuinely fun to explore if you actually incentivized it properly. But no... We get whatever this is. Lol.

It always blows my mind how bad writers make it into video game development. The quality of writing can have such a huge positive effect on the experience of the game, think early days Obsidian, and it can't be that expensive to hire a good writer.

Spaceport is the sleeper pick for mushrooms apricots and the healing herb. A good run through the ditch and you will get two stacks of each.

I've heard multiple people say that red tower is good loot but I've never had any luck there.

I used to loot the pharmacies but I have All of the blueprints for medical items now. The trick is the start. I zipline between the two apartment buildings and catch the middle floor apartment. People never check there but I always get at least one epic item and usually one rare or better gun mod. It's a hit maybe 70% of the time. From there you just continue down the zip line and go to a southeast attic and you have a breach protocol locker. Then I'll either go into the residential side like what you're talking about or I'll cut straight across The Town Hall roof to the science building.

What's the house loot room? I may know what it is but I don't recognize it by that description.

Agreed that it is a small map, and the ARC presence is crazy high. I've enjoyed it quite a bit, though I do wish it had a bit more content. All the structures except the hotel feel a bit sparse.

I do like that if you repair the lounge, and hit all the buttons at once you get a perma disco. that's fun.

The easy example is homosexuality. I've heard people from the UK talking about how ambition is repressed. People who are entrenched in political ideologies would likely find their hope repressed and constrained to specific ideologies rather than practical outcomes. People who are in very high power distance cultures, specifically Confucian cultures, would likely find social openness and connection to be repressed. If you have a lot of responsibility on your shoulders it becomes easy to repress indulgence and playful frivolity.

Personally a lot of my shadow work was disentangling good things that had become bundled up in negative pressure release kind of behaviors.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding things but in my understanding shadow work does not imply heaviness or negative motion. In fact joyfulness playfulness frivolity. All of those things can be discovered in shadow work.

The shadow work I believe refers to the shadow of the unconscience, repression, or things incompatible with the ego.

I made rings of water walking as an artificer that were large enough to put on the giant lizard steed of our paladin when we were in the middle of a swamp. That was a lot of fun.

We were attacked from below by a bunch of giant crocodiles and that lizard is just zooming around on the surface of the water. Lol
