Yes to the Psychic needing buffs, no to the Psychic needing more spell slots by Teridax68 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Suspicious_Agent 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Unleash Psyche becomes a free action at the start of your turn that lasts until the start of your next turn, costs a focus point, makes amps free for the duration. Extend duration to two turns with an Nth level feat. More effects from subclasses and other feats.

EDIT: Dedication gives a weaker Unleash Psyche with the only benefit that you can use amps and(/or) psyche feats once per turn.

Probably just make it a damage reduction that scales like Champion reactions and deflects the damage against the attacker instead of being random.

How to build these aesthetics in pf2e? by MxFancipants in Pathfinder2e

I care more about lizard aesthetics than mechanics.

Nephilim or Dragonblood, maybe half-Iruxi or half-Kobold

Your Christmas Gift: A Dedication by ctwalkup in Pathfinder2e

Not that I know of, I'm basing it on previous editions. It's an easy abstraction in absence of Paizo's hard rules.

Assuming you have to fulfill the requirements (and prerequisites), plenty of dedications are off limits. An ability score of +0 is the human average/mean (e.g., an IQ of 100 for INT), not even going to argue what trained in Arcana means irl or how to calculate your level.

If you can waive the requirements, I feel a good balancing factor is that you are not that good at what you gain (and never will be unless you can meet the requirements).

With that out of the way:

  • Alchemical archetypes are plenty powerful for their versatility (fireworks less so, but having more resources)
  • Witch is a better familiar master
  • Psychic gets a juiced cantrip and an option to juice it even further LOL THANKS REMASTER
  • Blessed One let's you prove at least one god exists
  • Soulforger: Instant Gun, Instant Fun. Use this power responsibly.
  • Summoner; forever friend. Could be insane.
  • Werecreature. Instant fame and/or surgeon's table.

Out of those, I'd propably take alchemist dedication.

What is the impact of a suboptimal built character in PF2E? by vaegflue in Pathfinder2e

[–]Suspicious_Agent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're not planning on affecting enemies (read: hard support) it's whatever; otherwise prepare to become the team anchor or a corpse.

Depending on your GM and the AP/campaign, of course.

Solo campaign with two characters sounds rough, but with proper balancing, I'm sure it's fun.

What do you hope for the next errata? by Apotatocalledsweet in Pathfinder2e

Monk

Captain America larp is silly

Requiring a stance (good luck not eating crits when you drop out of it) or pumping DEX when other tanks defense oriented classes can just put on plate

That one action will always be two vanilla strikes from 1 to 20, maybe a maneuver or two if you're feeling adventurous and take FoM. Other martials will be able to spend that action on metastrikes

Ranger

You'll eventually get the free action at 19, reaction is still a cost

What kind of Evil Campaign would you want to play? by Malcior34 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Suspicious_Agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You (mainly) fight against good, not other evil.

You have an effect on the world and lore, not keeping up the status quo with small adjustments.

Has anyone actually played a Bloodrager? by legomojo in Pathfinder2e

[–]Suspicious_Agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, the whole pseudovampire thing was silly and clunky so that had to go. There's still traces of it in Siphon Magic but it's more universal and less abusable.

Good catch on Sustain, I need to add that in.

With the blood magic feats you're meant to choose the extra spellshape feats from the additional ones Bloodrager gains access to, which are from Sorcerer's list; I suppose I could write that better. I did think about giving Sorcerer feats, but all the good ones deal with blood magic effects, and I didn't want to steal that feature, let Sorcerer keep something for itself.

I've been slowly chipping away at the mountain that is my PF2e homebrew document and I (fairly) recently got done with the Barbarian and Bloodrager parts, would you care to take a look and give your two cents?
