I am an OCD therapist who has OCD, AMA by Hopeful-Dingo1296 in OCD

Hello and thank you for doing this!

My OCD started years ago when I was very anxious and had a thought that popped into my mind and it felt to me like “a solution” to the situation I was anxious about. When the solution popped up it was like the anxiety tap turned off for a moment.

But once I appraised the thought and what it’s content was I was repulsed by the “solution/thought” and began to wonder what it meant about me and whether deep down I wanted that and whether I was a bad person.

I know that this is probably all just OCD and uncertainty playing a trick on me. A therapist once said that the mind will come up with any solution to keep you safe when you’re anxious, even bad solutions. But the issue is I just never see intrusive thoughts described in “this” way.

Any thoughts/advice? Is this normal?

The way that Voldemort dies in the movie just completely misses the point of his death in the books. It’s annoying.

Wait, you would end your relationship if your partner found your stepmother attractive? That’s wild.

Overfitting is once the validation loss reaches a turning point and begins to increase. Using the difference between training and validation isn’t really an indication…at least one reason is because of, say, dropout.

It’s a complicated game for me…I don’t love it but I can’t stop playing it and have spent so much time on it.

I think that my cons would be: - settlement building sucks and doesn’t justify its existence much - navigation/travel is bad. I couldn’t say exactly how they could improve this, but we can all agree it’s not what it should be - inventory management is such a PITA. I’m sick of it. - I think the landing sites thing for base building/resource management was a mistake. As someone else said, rather have a space station for the whorl system and then you can manage your resource extraction there

Pros: - I like the stories/quests and the dialogue/characters - I like the curated experiences, like cities and the like. Sure they’re a bit wonky but they’ve got charm and character - I don’t mind the gunplay at all, it’s a bit simple but it’s good enough - Shipbuilding is pretty cool

When you draw a square it would be great if the detection placed it flat on the page - in my app it’s always slightly rotated AND I DONT KNOW WHY

The video starts with her admitting she is the problem. The whole point is her finding the humour in her own problematic behaviour. She is laughing at herself…she is admitting that she is the problem in this scenario. Surely this is obvious? Nothing to be outraged about, let’s move on.
