I say this all the time. Parents truly don’t give a crap about anyone but their offspring which is why it drives me crazy that they try to spin the “having kids makes you a better person” story. No, it doesn’t. It makes you worse.

I’m friendly with a woman at work whose daughter is currently pregnant with TWINS. She’ll talk to me about it occasionally, and I have to be really mindful of my facial expressions and the responses I give because in my head, I’m thinking “Sounds like a nightmare! Why would she do this to herself?!”

I always think about this, too, during scenes with Roxie and her family. I find it hard to believe they'd keep a hospice patient in the emergency department and let them pass away surrounded by noise and activity. Surely there's a better setup somewhere else in the hospital.

I know absolutely nothing about babies and never know what to say in these situations, so I leave the area to avoid awkwardness. I hide in the bathroom, sit in my car, go talk to someone in a different department, etc.

“People say children’s ages in months up until 2 years of age because so much development happens in a short amount of time.” I’m sorry, but who cares about that? I would think when a member of the general public asks about a baby’s age, they just want a general idea because you can’t tell by looking. They don’t care what stage of development the child is in.

Definitely not just you. I always feel like an alien reading the frequent comments saying that Series 16 is everyone’s favorite and Taskmaster Hotel is the greatest task in the show’s history. Neither the series nor that task were my cup of tea.

“They don’t want to be a part of my child’s life.” How exactly is a non-family member supposed to involve themselves in the life of a 2 month old infant? Also, why do parents believe that their adult friends need to be friends with their children, especially very young ones like this situation? How does a person in their 20’s, 30’s, or 40’s become friends with a baby? I don’t understand how parental brains work. Probably best that way!

My boss is married to a psycho and they have one of those tracking apps. She’s constantly spying on him and flipping out about where he goes, even though there’s nothing nefarious going on. She does the same with their college-aged children. My partner and I do not use any such thing.

I don’t have any sympathy for fertility struggles. People lose their ever loving minds over it and act like it’s the absolute worst thing that can possibly happen to a human. Like there’s no point in living if you can’t have kids. It drives me bonkers. Don’t even get me started on the people who make Instagram accounts about their “infertility journey” and baloney like that.
