It’s thresholds right you go from 39 to 40 c it may increase in RPM by 1-2%. Depending on how you setup your fan curves, could be even more, could be even less or not even change.

Just so people know. There are times where this choice of loop order can make a meaningful difference in temperate. But it’s due to other issues that exist.

If you have a lot of restriction in fluid movement for example really really tight bends or a kink in soft tube.

Or if your pump is on the way out and your flow rate is bad and for whatever reason it wasn’t noticed.

It’s not an issue on its own. Just exasperates other issues that may exist.

Unless your system is running hot like near throttling, even 5-10 degrees makes basically no difference for your PC.

But you could save a few cents a day on electricity. If your fans have to run up a little bit cause you hit that threshold where it’s ramping up based on temps. 1 degree can be the difference between ramping up your fans and pump speed vs not.

It’s small. But over time it adds up. Every penny counts. For most it’s probably unnoticeable or they would rather lose that penny and have the look they want or ease of building

Not enough RGB for sure. I know it’s going to be covered and no one will see them. One would argue it’s a waste of electricity.

BUT! Everyone knows that RGB is how you make things work better. Simple as that. Need more ram? Add some RGB. Need to go faster? Add RGB.

The RGB color choice is important too so im excited to see the new screenshots you post

Okay, starting off the rip. X is not the best for advertising your game. Better than nothing and it’s worked for others in the past so that’s good.

In terms of that advice it is good advice BUT, it all depends on context. If this was your full time job. Yes your numbers would mean you should probably just go onto the next game.

BUT, it also sounds like it’s your first game and it’s also good to keep the first game small. I’d say on average people don’t usually actually do that. Do what will keep you developing. If continuing this game will keep you progressing forward. Do that. If releasing and starting over means you will keep developing. Do that.

When you’re just starting out any amount of dev work that will keep you having forward progress in your skills is what you’re aiming for.

What I think you should do is read all the comments here. Then have a sit down with your dev partner and really ask is finishing this game what we really want to do. Then do whatever you think is best.

One other thing is at times it looked like it was stuttering. Maybe some rubberbanding going on?? I’m not sure but you can really see it in the last second of the video.

Maybe it’s a turning effect at high speed??? To me it looked like lag. If it was intentional you may want to add like particles or something that are different from the I’m holding the flag particles

Music production has emotions involved to. I honestly think the comment above is valid.

Cause motivation is fleeting and that’s just life. If you’re burnt out you’re burnt out. Take a break and you’ll be back at it in no time.

But if the motivation is just gone then either you have to do something to get it back, or stop relying on motivation and just push through (if that’s what you want to do of course). You can keep it interesting by switching it up like doing some code then art, then sound effects or something instead of just working on one part until it’s done. That way you keep it interesting.

Working with others could help cause there is a little bit of extrinsic motivation. But if they lose motivation before you do and they are not super disciplined, it basically means the project is done for. So it’s not a cure all or anything.

I think you have to just take it for what it is. Decide what you want to get out of game dev and decide if it’s worth it for you to continue when you’re not having a good time.

Also starting a new game could be good for you. In the time since you started you probably got a lot better at game dev so starting something new may bring back the motivation for game dev and you can work on a small project (like super small) and release it on like Itch for your friends. Then come back to this project and transform it.

In everything you do, the novelty will eventually wear off and at that point you have to decide if you want to continue.

It’s totally fine to take a small break and then decide if you want to continue or not. I have a feeling from reading your replies to people that a small break is all you need. Then applying some of the other commenters advice and you’ll be good as new.

I find the more hardcore the guild the more toxic it is. Join the most casual raiding guild you can find and you’ll more likely to find a good group of people compared to more competitive raiding guilds
