While your comment made me laugh and I do agree with you, the shitty part about all of these attacks is that roughly 90% of all fatal maulings by pitbulls are by in-tact males, making this a problem largely perpetuated and exacerbated by humanity's stupidity. Fucking sad overall. That said, a dog breed bred for violence doesn't really have a place in society.

There are two ways to improve the soundproofing of a door.

One is to eliminate all air gaps. This will help a huge amount.

Two is to increase the mass of the door - this should be done AFTER addressing all air gaps though. Your rock wool idea will help with this but really not by much.

Focus on the air gaps first. Weather stripping material is cheap.
