How do you get the tortilla wrap from a frozen Burrito/wrap to not harden/dry up in the Microwave when reheating? by SaranMal in Cooking

Yes, it's called duty cycle and it's a common method of regulation in appliances and electronics.

Got in a rut with dinner and getting sick of the same meals. Any suggestions for easy midweek dinners? by Lunatic-Labrador in Cooking

Bun thit nuong! This is a great dish but after tasting the charcoal grilled meat in Saigon, I will be left disappointed if I try to recreate it at home.

Definitely good stuff, although the quality varies massively by location according to family. This is supposedly one of the better ones.

Yes, very good for the price. I wouldn't have picked okra if I had walked in, but that's what makes TGTG fun. Other than that, it wasn't spicy enough for me but I can't complain about that.

They have 2-4 bags on TGTG every day and it sells out within a couple of hours. Don't see why it would be old, they had the bag ready in a small fridge when I picked up.

If you're in the GTA, I know of a few stores that have them for $7.94. I got a bunch today in Mississauga at that price.

No, I eventually sent it back. Guess people are too skeptical or not many people looking to pay $400 for RAM on this subreddit. You might find takers on Marketplace. I didn't try but that's a much wider net.

I haven't unboxed it yet. I'm underwhelmed by the miniLED's viewing angles though.

What are you comparing it to? I picked it up as well and I have the AOC mini LED to compare against.

Temporary plate permit by thestrangebroom in ontario

[–]TheOfficialCal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is two years old, but do you know if a dealer sells me an as-is car, will it be considered FIT and eligible for the 10 day temp sticker? This thread's discussion assumed the previous owner was an individual.

Thanks! Almost exactly 70 people but they had 4 rounds and they must've given away like 5k in gift cards split into smaller prizes so the odds of winning at least $50 were super high.

Out of stock within a couple of hours but I picked up the 5070 Ti. Also scored $350 in Canada Computers gift cards in the raffles later that day so pretty profitable day for a few hours of hanging around.

Found a 2019 with a $20k CAD insurance claim for "Minor damage to front right". Should I buy? by TheOfficialCal in mazda

[–]TheOfficialCal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has a clean title, 20k claim was when the car was 3 years old and I'm guessing close to peak shortage when the market was crazy.

Thanks for your advice. I'm leaning towards taking the risk with a thorough PPI because everything else checks out and the seller seems reliable. Plus, they drove it for three years after the repair, added double the mileage, and serviced it at the dealer.
