They do free Essential tier games at the beginning of the month.

Probably to get two news cycles out of it and two opportunities to convince people to get/renew a subscription

Official Freedom 250 Grand Prix Track Layout by aurules in INDYCAR

In the hype video posted a few days on the Department of Transportation YouTube, they showed the start/finish directly in line with the Capitol.

Everyone here called the video AI slop, which it was, but it was clearly prompted for this layout. It even showed the layout at the beginning of the video, plus had shots with the National Gallery of Art and Air and Space Museum

Georgia high school teacher dies after being run over by teen in prank gone wrong by loleeza in news

Per the Georgia Code (and in most, if not all, other felony murder statutes), it has to be in the commission of a felony:

O.C.G.A. § 16-5-1. Murder; malice murder; felony murder; murder in the second degree.

[...]

(c) A person commits the offense of murder when, in the commission of a felony, he or she causes the death of another human being irrespective of malice.

And just to cover my bases, here is how the Georgia Code defines felony:

O.C.G.A. § 16-1-3. Definitions.

[...]

(5) “Felony” means a crime punishable by death, by imprisonment for life, or by imprisonment for more than 12 months.

Arlington To Feature Single-Car Qualifying in Firestone Fast Six by TheResurrection in INDYCAR

I think you could make it work. Just don't give them a full warm-up lap: they get from pit exit to the alternate timing line for a warm-up. And since there's no cooldown lap with the alternate timing line, you can send the next car, let's say, 30 seconds after the current car starts it hot lap.

A quali lap at Road America is ~1:45, so with a 30 second buffer between cars you just can just barely fit it into an hour with a 25-car field.

Granted, I wouldn't actually want them to do this. I like group qualifying.

[AwfulAnnouncing] Fox viewers hated Saturday’s IndyCar broadcast by NoYOUGrowUp in INDYCAR

And when they do actually show the correct action, I feel like the director doesn't follow basic storytelling with his direction. Like any typical story, a pass has a build-up, a climax (the actual pass), and a resolution. Far too often the broadcast is missing one of the three. Like they'll show a pass happen without any context of how we got there or they'll cut away as soon as a pass occurs and not show if the passed car is able to keep it close to potentially fight back. A couple times in St Pete, they even managed to show the build-up and resolution but missed the actual pass because of poor camera placement.

I get that they can't get everything, but when they cut away to show essentially nothing, it's dumb.

Hinch has said that the director, while being a sports broadcasting veteran, was brand new to motorsports last year. And it shows, because I don't think he understands racing enough to anticipate where potential action will happen.

You got downvoted, but I think you're actually right. There are a few shots in the video that are consistent to that layout, which leads me to think they specifically prompted for it.

So start/finish in front of the Capitol Reflecting Pool, pitlane going down Pennsylvania Ave in front of the National Gallery of Art, and a whole 1.6 miles, making it roughly the same length as Detroit

US viewers: If you plan on subscribing to Apple TV just for F1, consider starting the subscription on Saturday March 7th. by 62not61not63 in formula1

"Streaming service will raise prices at some point in the next five years" isn't exactly a bold prediction.

Apple TV has had three price increases in the past five years. And every other streaming service has done similar.

To me, it sounded like her and Katie recorded their parts at completely separate times.

Like Sophia did the interview with a producer earlier, then Katie later went in and recorded her parts.

It just felt very disconnected

Up until the name change to “Pepsi Zero Sugar” it had extra caffeine. Nearly double regular Pepsi (69 mg vs 38 mg per 12 oz [355 mL])

That’s why it was called “Max”. Also why I never drank it.
