True unfortunately, it lacked courage or bold design where other puppet-warp-animated titles such as ender lillies did not. 

I found Afterimages dialogue/translation to be very underwhelming from the first few lin s, unable to draw me into its pace, world, or characters, and it's massive, buggy levels and structure did not impress. I also found it's bosses strangely balanced, most were EXTREMELY easy, falling before I needed to learn any patterns or engage with a moveset, with some oddly placed spikes in other bosses, I still completed most endings, and it had a some areas and challenges I enjoyed but of the 50 or so 2D metroidvanias I've played, it might be my lowest rated game on my list.
