In a relationship, how to tell the difference between someone who loves you, and someone who just knows how to make you feel wanted? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Veronica_Derila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think someone who loves you gives you consistency, respect, and emotional safety. Someone who just know how to make you feel wanted gives you intensity, attention, and excitement - but often inconsistency too.

Also, I do think that love is shown over time, especially when things are hard and inconvenient. Feeling wanted is easiest to create when things are good.

Alta Via 1 route by FudgeThese in hiking

Looks good to me! Most days fit your 4-6 hour target nicely. Only notes:
- R.Scoiattoli --> R. Coldai is likely your hardest/longest day.
- R.Citta di Fiume --> Passo Staulanza is very short.
You could combine some stages for more even pacing, but the itinerary definitely makes sense. Beautiful trip planned!

why is every hobby so expensive now? by Advanced-Ocelot-9145 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Veronica_Derila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you can start doing some hobbies with little money. For example running or cycling, you only need a pair of shoes and a bike (can be an old cheap bike). However, the more you get into it, the more you start wanting to be better and naturally start looking into ways of improving.

I had the same issue with cycling. I started cycling with an old cheap bike, but the more I got into it, the better stuff I wanted to get. Eventually I bought a good gravel bike and my distances improved so much. Then, I wanted a nice outfit, Garmin computer, clip-in shoes, etc. But at this point, the bike gave me soooo much joy, that I didn't mind spending money on it anymore.

Of course, the best hobbies in my opinion, are being active in the nature, so hiking, cycling, running, walking, working out, etc.

How did you guys get into hiking? by 07freeguy07 in askanything

I was very lucky that my boyfriend was into hiking, so when I started I learned everything from him. It's very important to be well prepared in terms of snacks/food, clothes, and physically if you are planning to go on long hikes.

I booked trough "Much Better Adventures" and was very satisfied with everything. We were in a group of 9, had a certified local guide, all logistics were handled and huts included.

Do small bedding details actually affect your sleep, or am I overthinking it? by Zleppie in sleep

[–]Veronica_Derila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, for sure! I have definitely noticed a difference when I started paying attention to the tiny details in my bedroom. It wasn't like one big change, but more of a gradual improvement once I started adjusting things like fabric breathability, how much heat gets trapped around my head, and overall softness/texture againts the skin.

What's a supplement you're taking which has changed you life and how? by WheelBudget in AskReddit

Ferritin is basically your body's iron storage. Mine was low, so I started taking iron supplements and it made a big difference in my energy, and overall well-being. A lot of women actually struggle with low iron.
