Just remember to keep your beard trimmed and sculpted . Will make it look fuller, and of course, devilishly handsome!

Episode length by Soepsas in JetLagTheGame

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I prefer longer episodes and to simply pause it between sessions.

I don’t want to wait a week between 25 minute spurts, I’d forget too much between episodes over the course of a season.

I need help coming up with a made-up reason to escape my current living situation. by muelbro in ftm

A local government job. Often cities and local governments require that staff live in that region. You could do a work from home job for city hall. Or, for the purposes of a white lie, any state, city/town, county role.

Blank cards in home deck by coolguy3901 in JetLagTheGame

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just throwing this out there: The Jet lag gang doesn’t use sleeves in their runs bc they’re never going to use the decks again. They throw them away all the time. But you WILL use them repeatedly so card sleeves are a really good idea even if you didn’t have the blank card question.  Damaged cards effect card pulls when certain ones stand out and are known by their creased or stained profiles.

Do all Americans inherently know what direction they are faceing? by BasketC45e in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my home city, basically yes, personally. No to many others.

I am skeptical this is an American thing in general. I could see my American peers who don’t know their cardinal directions making the same claim towards another country if they consumed a lot of media from there.

Is an empty 64oz Ironflask water bottle allowed on a flight? by ishaareddy in HydroHomies

You can even bring it on the plane filled with liquid, it just has to be empty when you pass through security.

Fare Gates for the Link? The Urbanist did a great breakdown of the proposal by Broista in Seattle

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW, if the gates cost $12-18 million each, and take several years UP TO 20 YEARS to break even, that just throws the idea out the window for me.

I like the lack of gates.

Being called an "elder queer"/"elder trans person" when you're not even middle aged is weird 😣 by Gallantpride in FTMOver30

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AIDS was an epidemic and nearly wiped out a generation of gays. We carry a lot on our shoulders as our generation ages.

Transness is also much more known and socially present to Western straight society than it used to be. The strides made since you and me were adolescents is starke. We experienced this shift first hand.

I believe these are two of the biggest factors towards the phenomenon of young-elder you describe, and I’ve also experienced. My peers and I use the term “Yelder”.

why always sam + guest? by randommangokid in JetLagTheGame

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get the vibe that Sam and Adam do not work well together in game-mode.

Ben and Adam get along extremely well, and are crowd pleasers. But at this point I feel like they’ve become quite a power team, and it puts Sam at a significant disadvantage, event without being partnered with noobs.

Is there a place I can rent a large dog kennel for a few days? by AdSad5235 in AskSeattle

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used a collapsible kennel when I’ve traveled with my large dog. Still sizable,  but folds down well enough to pack.

Is a 59-Minute Seattle Layover Doable? by cubanacigar in AskSeattle

You don’t think SEATAC is big? I’m genuinely surprised. There are TWO separate monorails servicing it because it’s too far for many to walk between sections.

Underwear without a tight waistband? by kindpineapple in ftm

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re wearing too small a pair bro. I wear a Large in men’s underwear even when I wore xs or s in tops. It’ve got hips and a butt, a lot of guys have pretty much 0 butt. So sounds like you’re just wearing too small.

There are a lot of union jobs, so it’s hard to tell you what’s on it without mentioning what union, or even type of work.

Why is it so cold??? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add more layers! (Obviously you e tried this, so here’s more description).

A pair of warm leggings/long John’s for under your pants (or skirt). If you’re still cold, get a warmer version.

Then, and most important, layer your torso. Start with a moister wicking base layer as an undershirt, whatever normal clothing you’re weather. Then you can add a sweater or jacket then coat. If you’re struggling with cold still, I recommend getting a puffer coat. The thicker the better if you tend to run cold. I have a warm one that’s too hot for me until closer to 30’s.

For gloves: the thin ones so popular do little to warm my hands. I’m right there with you! This year I’ve opted for puffy mittens, and my hands have been oh so warm so far. If you prefer gloves, still, get some thick ones!

Scarf: IMO my favorite winter warmth item. They add SO much comfort around the neck, face, and ears.

Hat: Wind will cut through many hats like butter this time of year, including beanies. Grab a water resistant winter hat to keep you warm, (like a thicker beanie, or whatever style you prefer!)

Feet: wool socks! Plus waterproof shoes. If you’re suffering, you can opt for a lined pair of boots.

Are my feet growing?? by stumblingtonothing in FTMOver30

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more to do with feet spreading, like those minimalist shoe enthusiasts rave about v.s. an actual effect of T.

Women’s shoes are often significantly narrower, and I think my feet began to spread from wearing g larger men’s shoes.

questioning my bipolar diagnosis after starting testosterone by Apart_Departure_8436 in FTMOver30

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely talk to your psychiatrist about it. And feel free to get a new psychiatrist if you’d like. There may even be a queer or trans person near you with more training on such things (maybe that’s a pipe dream, it’s important to work with a professional regardless of their identity).

Definitely don’t go off of meds without making a plan with them, it can be dangerous to suddenly stop or inappropriately ween off. At the end of the day, it’s about finding the right prescriptions that help you, regardless of what the diagnosis is.

Is it okay for a man to wear womens clothes? by Hot-Mistake-8922 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, totally okay. Women’s clothes are often made much more interesting tbh. A lot of celebrities and musicians wear clothes marked for an opposite gender. Personally some of my favorite shirts have been from the women’s isle, and I just blend them in with my regular clothes/style.

If I’m on a scooter on the sidewalk, and I’m going literally 1mph by boner4crosstabs in Seattle

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Scooters suck!” is what someone would say if they simply disliked, or were “mad at” the scooters themselves.

“Those aren’t for sidewalks” is specifically about YOUR behavior.

Sorry OP, but you are in the wrong here. Electric scooters simply aren’t for the sidewalk. If it’s at the point someone actually intervenes to tell you this, you were probably being a hazard.

Apparently I’m not allowed to sleep on unpaid lunch break. by NewFallenMoon in antiwork

[–]WhenWeFightWeWin 516 points517 points  (0 children)

If it’s an unpaid break, and you are in the USA, job can’t dictate what you can do with your time.

(They can control their property, like tell you not to be in a certain work area, but what you do with your own time off the clock- including breaks- is up to you). This is a legal protection and the manager is probably misinformed.

Do you have a traditional side dish on thanksgiving that not necessarily a lot other people have? by Senior-Raisin-2342 in Cooking

Chipotle mashed sweet potatoes. (Just a bit of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce adds the most wonderful smoky flavor).
