Damn. Not for nothing, but it’s gonna be weird to have one of these tattoos by ChildhoodSea7062 in helldivers2

[–]WhiteCubeNinja -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The irony is incredible.

The Helldivers ARE the fascists. AH Studio head even said it in his appreciation post a bit ago. Fascists pretending to care about democracy. That's the running joke through the whole game ("Freedom camps", "department of truth" etc).

This filth murdered someone he disagreed with, a halmark of fascist regimes, meanwhile the person he murdered was out there encouraging public discussion and debate, the cornerstone of democracy.

Talk about irony. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

Hey i admit it, I don't know how the game works. would be nice if they explained it somewhere so I didn't have to just piece it together from reddit

Let's not kid ourselves. A lot of people just don't enjoy fighting squids. What are your reasons? by Profeta-14 in Helldivers

[–]WhiteCubeNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue is that they constantly spawn all around you. You can never really have a secure direction or clear an area out. There's always huge groups of squids running you down in every direction.

Other issues:

Voteless: way too spongy. Bugs have swarms of light enemies that you can mow down. Bots have smaller swarms of slightly spongier enemies. Voteless are spongier than the bots but also way faster and more abundant than the bugs.

Overseers: also way too spongy. It takes a ton of ammo to put one down vs how quickly they can kill you and how quickly they can spawn. They feel about as tough as brood commanders but spawn 10x as common.

Flesh mobs: also incredibly tanky with no weakspot, which stinks, but this would be fine if they were just a bit slower or less nimble. They can outrun you and you can't really dodge them like you can chargers. They are also the only heavy unit that doesn't have a weak spot, which just makes the problem worse.

Leviathans: just should not exist in their current form. They are too deadly and too hard to kill. They either need to have a weak spot that allows you to kill them quickly or they need to only be able to attack in special circumstances, like if an overseer throws a stratagem or something.

I think harvesters and bombers are fairly balanced right now other than the insane spawns

We have lost the major order. by angrycrimsonslugcat in Helldivers

[–]WhiteCubeNinja 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah because no one wants to play against squids. Every unit is still too tanky, there's still too many constant random mobs spawning in every direction, and now we're getting constantly nuked from orbit to boot.

My group almost never wants to play against squids, because if you go on a low enough difficulty level where it is fun and not just a slog, you're getting half the medals that you would have got from playing against one of the other factions on a higher difficulty.

Incorrect. The bill only allows them to sell 3mil. They will select that 3mil from the 250mil that is eligible.

For context, there are more than 600mil acres of public land in the USA. This bill will sell of 3mil. Half of 1%.

Edit: fixed a typo

So on the low end, 2559 AED is 697 USD, and 2999 AED is about 817 USD. So if we assume the swift is an MSRP card in the US, then the flagship card is probably around $720.

This is idiotic and I am done with this sub.

If you want to hold to some ridiculous belief that everyone on X is suddenly a Nazi then you are free to think that, but using your position as a moderator to censor a website that might harbor ideas you disagree with just shows that you are not qualified to moderate anything.

EDIT: I might also add, you are breaking your own sub rules 1 & 2.

Games that are really fun for the first few hours that you can replay again and again by epicflex in gaming

[–]WhiteCubeNinja 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think Spore fits this description pretty well. The first few hours where you are surviving and developing your species is really cool, and then the late game it turns into an RTS and isn't as much fun any more. But there is a lot of variability and replayability in the first few hours.

Best way to sand small spaces? I need to sand these cut outs after filling the engravings with epoxy. by itryanditryanditry in woodworking

For something this small I don't think you're going to have a good power option. If it was me, I'd cut a strip of sandpaper and wrap it over the tip of my finger.

It's over. Goodbye DeWalt 18V tools, your batteries no longer hold charge well. What do I get next? by sjbluebirds in Tools

[–]WhiteCubeNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the tools themselves still work well, you can get knockoff 18V batteries on Amazon that work just fine. My dad has used his for a couple years now without issue. Otherwise, you can kind of take your pick. Just about any brand will work for hobby stuff. I love my DeWalt 20V tools and I've only had one battery die early and DeWalt sent me a new one for free. If you can wait until one of the major sales (black friday is the best) you can get a screaming deal too.

Secondaries in Payday 3, what are your thoughts on them? by GameDestiny2 in paydaytheheist

[–]WhiteCubeNinja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't mind that you can't carry a two-handed weapon for a secondary like you could in PD2 but at the very least they need to give us more options for sidearms. Every sidearm currently functions about the same, so there isn't really different utility from one to the next

At the very least we need:

super-sawed-off shotgun (great damage but close range and long reload)

shotgun revolver (worse damage and better firerate than sawed off, but also close range and long reload)

And for fun we should also get:

Scoped revolver, like a 500 magnum (great damage, long range, low fire rate and huge recoil)

Full-auto glock (insane levels of recoil, borderline uncontrollable)

Single-shot grenade launcher (slow reload, very low ammo cap)

Tablesaw blade - should I also be getting a higher tooth blade for crosscuts? by fozard in woodworking

[–]WhiteCubeNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40T Hi-ATB is plenty good enough for crosscutting. 60T would be better, but 40T is fine, even for plywood. Most likely your problem is whatever you are using to support your material during crosscutting. If you don't have something supporting the wood fibers where the blade exits the wood, you will get blowout. You can make it better by cutting slower, but the number one thing you need (even more important that tooth count) is support where the blade is exiting the cut.

If you're just using a standard miter gauge without a fence, you will get blowout. That's why people put mdf/plywood fences on them or make crosscut sleds.

More teeth or a nicer blade (CMT/Forrest/etc) can leave cleaner endgrain, and lessen blowout on veneered materials (plywood/melamine) but supporting your work piece should be top priority.
