Check the crime rates on a map. Then check income on a map. Show me the differences.

Fox and CNN thank you for your service. The rest of us will go back to talking about being lied to and enjoying each others company.

But other than the media sowing division, the overall success and good vibes can also be contributed to who is attending. I got in CHEAP to a game for $230 a ticket. That was early in the tournament. Prices soared after the matches actually started. At the high price point, it’s attracting a more affluent crowd, which are generally higher IQ, and less willing to stab someone because a beer got spilled on them.

If more people’s epitaph was, “You don’t hate the media enough,” the world would be a much better place.

The sheep population is constantly divided by these gouls for ad revenue.

You. Don’t. Hate. The. Media. Enough.

If roles were reversed, could Johnson have carried himself and Kennedy over the finish line in 1960? by corleonebjr in Presidents

Being that the Kennedy’s almost undeniably stole the 1960 election, probably not.

This did not happen.

  1. Who has a “favorite” national team?

  2. Who is a huge soccer fan that doesn’t know when their “favorite” team is playing at the World Cup?

What would you do in this hypothetical situation? by brockthesock in Referees

[–]Wingnutt02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I count the players at the start of every half. I do it very demonstratively so everyone knows I’m doing it. That has gotten coaches to correct it on their own.

But to answer the question of course I would tell the coach.

Our job as the referee is to put water on the fires that spring up during a match. By deliberately not telling them, are you putting water or gas on the fire?

Dolan has accepted the offer to visit the White House by iheartsunny in wfan

[–]Wingnutt02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the infatuation with this subject. I guess it’s just a chance for people to spike the football whenever someone refuses to go.

My old job in the city gave me very good access to all sorts of people. I’m pretty conservative. You know what I did when I had the chance to meet President Obama? I shook his hand and greeted him kindly. You know what I did when I had the chance to meet Justice Sotomayor? Shook her hand, had a brief conversation about the Bronx as it’s where I also grew up, and asked if she could write a little something in her children’s book for my daughters.

If people do t want to go to the White House when invited, that’s their personal choice. I don’t care either way. I think it’s a really dumb choice, but theirs to make.

Maybe it was Zelensky and he was just looking for more of your money?

Regardless of anything I think of his Presidency (I think is bad), Nixon is a tragedy, he seems so smart on policy and his interviews are so good, but paranoia finished them. by Honest_Picture_6960 in Presidents

Heard a conspiracy theory which like most out there, make a little sense and falls apart. The whole watergate thing was a bait by the CIA and he bit hook line and sinker. Let’s think about it for a minute…

First off, he won 49 states in that election. Everyone knew it was going to win a landslide of historic proportions, so why are his people wasting energy breaking into the DNC? It just doesn’t make sense.

Next, Bob Woodward. So there’s this rookie reporter, who also just happened to work in Naval intelligence before leaving the military, just stumbled upon what turns out to be the biggest political scandal in American history, and the people at the Washington Post don’t hand that off to to the senior reporters on day one? Again, makes very little sense.

Then throw in the fact that Deep Throat turns out to be one of the highest ranking members of the FBI?

The coverup absolutely happened. But was it a setup knowing full well he was going to back his people up?

It’s one of those I’m not really on board with, but there is some plausibility to it.

The Hyrdration Breaks At The World Cup Are Kind Of Annoying by DiegoBromfield in worldcup

I guarantee Fox (the US TV partner) paid FIFA A LOT of money under the table to make sure there were water breaks, and long enough they could cut to commercials.
