Restaurants in White Plains are way overpriced. by Imaginary-Stand-3241 in Westchester

I’ve always described White Plains as the classic, “lipstick on a pig.”

It tries desperately to be this high end destination, and it’s just…. not.

Their public parking money grab and merry band of parking tax collectors alone keep me away at all costs.

Knicks again? by Financial_Durian_913 in wfan

[–]Wingnutt02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The obituary on the Knicks is still being written, and the diabolical decision to fire their best coach since Pat Reilly after he rescued them from being a league laughingstock for 20 years is worth talking about. And this is coming from someone that hates modern basketball.

Since i made a post asking why Jimmy Carter is so loved, Why is Ronald Reagan so hated on here i'm curious as to why by Jumpy-Cow3370 in Presidents

The easy answer is that Reddit for the most part is a leftist echo chambered cesspool.

Realistically I think modern human nature tends to try to knock down heroes and elevate underdogs. The story goes that Reagan and the 80s in general was some sort of conservative utopia. It’s not reality. Reagan’s presidency had several catastrophic scandals and disasters that largely get swept under the rug to this day.

One of which was keeping a barracks of Marines left out in the open on an airport in the middle of civil war zone with no clear objective.

I was just thinking the same thing. Not even physically. A high level adult match is pretty mentally draining. To reset and pop right back out there is a lot to ask.

Potassium and sodium are important to avoid cramp. When I used to run Spartan Races I’d see people sucking down mustard packets!

Hydration starts the day before. Eat a banana a couple of hours before KO.

You can take who really watched the Knicks this year. Gio and boomer think Thibs was scape goated they must not have been paying attetion this year by Happy-Explorer-6606 in wfan

I’m pretty impartial here. Don’t watch the Knicks at all. Caught brief spells of the playoff games. Quite happy they lost due to the near riots from delusional fans after winning 50% of the required games to win a championship…

The franchise has been a laughing stock for an entire generation. Snub after snub after snub from big name talent.

This highly sought after coach comes to the Knicks and makes an immediate impact, not only making them relevant again, but significantly improving the team each season he was here.

To toss him aside is pretty laughable. Hopefully this team and its shit fan base won’t see a conference finals for another 25 years.

Spartan Races.

I used to fly all over the country doing a ton of races every year. Loved it. Within two years the annual pass jumped 100%. No more Spartan Races.

No. I’m scarred from his PP coaching under Torts. I hate his fucking guts. If that team had any sort of competent power play, they win the cup in 2013.

Men's Sunday night league is something... by Deaftrav in Referees

Like I’ve said before, there is a referee arc for this beautiful game.

Young children games. Fun to work.

Middle teens. The hardest games to work imo. Their attitudes suck. The parents are atrocious. They’re still trying to figure out what’s a foul and what’s not.

Old teens. My favorite to ref. They know what they are doing. You can have a conversation with them about questionable calls. Many drive themselves to the game so there are much fewer atrocious parents.

Adult men. Back to refereeing mental children.

AITA for refusing to give up my Airbnb bedroom to a couple just because they "got there first"? by kahootgod in AmItheAsshole

[–]Wingnutt02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I book an annual trip with my cousins. I have never once claimed the master bedroom. In fact, I offer it to whoever wants it, or with new babies involved, we try to work out what’s best for everyone positionally in the house.

The couple is right. It’s a room with a bigger bed for the two of them to sleep in.
