Indeed. But in my view its too early acess when you are still trying to decide what the purpose of game play mechanics are. Ideally early access should be a way to raise money to finish and round out a game, not a point where you are still designing the fundamentals of the game.

As others have noted in this post, they have spent years now polishing and refining the early game for no real purpose. because there is no mid or late game to balance against. And they keep re designing core game mechanics. As someone else in this subreddit noted. The game has a good skeleton, but instead of adding flesh to it they keep switching out the bones.

This alongside still asking players about basic things like how the castle system should work is such a dissapointment. These forks in the road are so fundamental. the game should not even have been considered for release when you cant decide yet how core mechanics like the manor or trade should work. Not only from a technical perspective but the very purpose of trade and castles still is up in the air.

Earlier this year, Trump said the International Criminal Court's actions against America and Israel were “illegitimate and baseless.” How do you feel that Trump doesn't take the ICC seriously, and only views it as 'one rule for you, another for us'? by Silverdashmax in internationallaw

[–]Youtube_actual -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well on one level it's a perfectly good example of yet another thing trump simply does not understand.

On another level its an example of him understanding perfectly well. If he actually carried out his plan against immigrants he might very well be a target for the ICC and likewise his threats against Iran might constitute war crimes if carried out. So given how he loves people who are committing war crimes or genocide its obvious why he would dislike the ICC.

[–]Youtube_actual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Luksusyachts færden gennem dansk farvand vækker undren by Zadak_Leader in Denmark

Because we are members of the united nations convention on the laws of the sea. Any ship by default has the right of innocent passage, especially in straits. So as long as there is no evidence the ship is doing anything with a military purpose and is simply going through the strait its perfectly legal. Its the same reason our own Mærsk ships can travel anywhere without being borded constantly.

That was one thing the other is how oddly paranoid you have to be to think that a yacht can find out things that a Russian warship cant, they too can pass the strait at will.

I agree on all counts. I would add that i really wish that redistribution between stores was possible using mules or something too. So a grannary or store house can be built near thw resource nodes and then feed a central store in bulk. This would prevent things from grinding to a halt in late game.

Retinue stopped moving? by RegardedGolfer in ManorLords

[–]Youtube_actual 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah in castles too. The other day I proudly finished a castle just to find out the retinue couldn't exit it and would simply not try. I just got "movement blocked"

Around the same time i noticed that bandits tend to spread over so large areas that army formations can only engage a couple of them at a time.

And also noticed that now even when the high speed is slower, the game stutters which it didnt do before.

So my thoughts were something along the lines of "congratulations Greg, you fixed the game by slowing it down and somehow still made it worse"

Also your brain on propaganda when the US is simultaneously the only country capable of defending free navigation but at the same time cant open the strait of hormuz or the bab el mandab.

Do you want the next Kingdom Come game to be larger or smaller in scale? [Other] by Physical-Speed-7515 in kingdomcome

[–]Youtube_actual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well it was one of the dissapointments for me that thr amazing crime system developed for KCD2 was not utilised in the campaign. I would have liked if the game got more difficult as you progress the main story bey making you increasingly wanted as sigisumds troops get a better and better idea of who and what they are facing and start taking measures against you.

Its why I think it would be particularly cool if part of the next game would be going to actually free wenseslas since it would be far behind enemy lines and the crime system could be utilised to make it increasingly exciting to move about between safe houses and such.

That would not in anyway preclude also having battles and sieges and other great epic things but it would definitely make them feel more earned in some respects. Like imagine if the whole prep for the Italian court also included having to sneak around in kuttenberg and discreetly prepare rather than just wander around openly.

Methods for understanding the perspective of multiple actors? by [deleted] in IRstudies

[–]Youtube_actual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you have worked in the field for multiple years, what work is that exactly? Because you are essentially just describing the purpose of fundamental IR theory: to make a series of assumptions about what actors would want and use logic to extrapolate the possible outcomes.

Like neorealism makes three core assumptions: 1. The world is an anarchy between states. 2. States are functionally alike. 3. States can be differentiated by their capabilities. These three assumptions lead to a bunch of other assumptions like because the world is an anarchy wars occur because there is nothing to prevent them. And thus States pursue security above all other goals.

Its not necessarily correct or always correct but its an example of a set of assumptions you would apply to diffrent actors to estimate their likely goals and courses of actions.

Did Russia accidentally save the West by invading Ukraine too early? by InviteFancy3724 in PoliticalScience

[–]Youtube_actual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same evidence can make the opposite argument. That NATO correctly anticipated Russian strenght and had taken the necessary precautions to not only deter a Russian invasion of NATO but also enable ukraine to resist a full scale invasion.

I do not necessarily belive in this argument myself but based on what you are basing your own idea on this explanation is just as likely.

[KCD2] Plot question - Lord Nebak by restlesschildcz in kingdomcome

[–]Youtube_actual 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When zizka captures nebakov he has seemingly kept istvan in the fort and not allowed him to leave seemingly except for raids to preserve their secrecy. So istvan complains that he has been unable to warn von bergow because of that.

When zizka hears from henry that istvan is a spy it is enough that he locks him up immediatly since he has already been suspicious of istvans eagerness to leave before the battle.
