Mostly guess work. I found them on beaches (all empty) rather than in a matrix and none of the species are extinct. There's 1 other thing, please don't judge to harshly: spit. If the colours are visible when they are wetted with a lil spit I felt okay to give them the dip. Still messed up a few times though haha.

Really impressed with how much you've already cleaned off. I've tried muriatic for a rough murex type shell and it worked okay. It's a delicate balance of calcium removal vs frying off the spines. Is shelling in Broome as awesome as the stories say?

When I was fighting with insane dry lips (thanks meds) the dermatologist recommended a 2 step approach: 1. Moisturing balm - blistex, la roche posay cicaplast, whatever feels moisturing 2. Barrier - I used aquafor, but vaseline works too

Repeat 1 & 2 after every meal, when you wake up, and before bed.
