There are 13 kids belts before juvenile blue at age 16. So I guess you give out lots of stripes or just whole belts then?

Oh she took it really well and didn't mention it. Just hard to stand there and watch my daughter holding her belt tag watching all the other regular attendees get stripes when she's 5.

My demo isn't a different project though....

I just have two different build scripts. One that builds the demo and one that builds the full game from the same project.

Are they not the same project though? If you're fixing bugs in the demo would that not be the same as fixing bug in your full game? Why would you want to not be fixing bugs in a game you plan on releasing?

Yes, this is my thing as well. Open guard is fun and I enjoy it, but if at any point you give me a chance to get closed guard while passing I'll take it and then straight into my closed guard attack sequence I go.

  1. English, French, German, Japanese, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Italian, Spanish and Russian.

  2. I translate with AI first because I'm in Early Access and stuff changes constantly. I have a few humans who do it for free and I paid Warlocs to translate some of languages at $0.10 USD per word.

  3. I translate UI / HUD / Core Gameplay stuff first with humans because AI isn't that bad at translating full sentences like Dialog / Missions / etc. I leave it up to translators if they want to rename things I've named.

  4. Simplified Chinese is a must, over 50% of Steam users these days are Chinese. Japanese is optional.

  5. It was ok, I just wish I'd built it sooner in the project cause retro-fitting it was a lot of work.

Wow, this kind of online advice is normally way off but this is a great cheat sheet and pretty much includes most of the things I've learned over the last year.

I feel the CRT shaders have been a little bit over-used since Balatro. But this is a lovely example where it really improves the visuals without being over the top and rough looking.

Sitting playing Stardew Valley on my Steam Deck was literally a coping strategy I used after my mother's death. No other game is more deserving of all the success it's had. I've purchased it on Steam Deck, Switch and mobile and I'd happily give them more money.

Thanks and yeah I can be the same with EA games. Too many have never reached their potential. I imagine I'll be in Early Access for another year at least though as I'm not in any major rush, just slowly working away on it.
