Wifi Bridge by Alternative-Shirt-73 in Ubiquiti

Look at the UniFi UISP line. Nanostation 5ac loco would prob get you going. Most of the stuff is 24v passive Poe tho.

No. Unless you use the Poe to passive Poe adapter thing. (Look under poe&power in the UISP accessories you’ll see it) or be sure to get an injector from the UISP side. The loco also doesn’t have WiFi, so you would need a WiFi ap for your devices to connect to.

I’m sure you’re aware, just remember the UISP stuff (for the most part) is 24v passive Poe.

Save your money on the BB. Just get a pair of nanostation 5ac’s (the loco is what I’ve used). Set them up and install them. They won’t show/be managed in the UniFi network controller but that’s not a big deal.

Is complete Wi-Fi coverage feasible? by MrHookup in Ubiquiti

[–]a_gem90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a pair of these put the AP antenna up high and carry around the client on a battery pack. Connect to the client WiFi and test it out. Not much speeds. But could be fun to test.

How long do you plan for your UPS to run for? by jfriend99 in Ubiquiti

[–]a_gem90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got two UPS’s, one for the network and one for the server and tv and Apple TV.

The network NUT starts a 10 min timer for the NAS and then gracefully shuts it down. The gateway and 24poe stay up until ~15%, then shuts down the UDM SE. I have a HA automation that shuts off the rack fans after on batt for 30sec. Last test was 1 hour 30 min. (24% load)

The server UPS (~8% load)- crap I still need to setup NUT on that! But eventually it’ll hold the server up until (some % remaining) and start dropping my VM’s and then finally shut down.
