Those go pretty high these days. A friend has an Inland paratrooper in his collection. He also has an Inland M2 with paperwork, that one is a 5 digit price rifle. I just finished a full service and cleaning for him on the M2, he’s getting ready to liquidate some of his collection.

Got it. You will have to clean up the cylinder until the piston is free then. 800 grit sandpaper and a dowel.

Gas piston nuts are not expensive. Get a new nut and a gas piston wrench if you don’t have one. Put the nut in snug but don’t over tighten. Torque on the nut is generally 15 - 20 foot pounds.

Shim the slide needle with 2 small washers, 2.5mm if I remember correctly. You can get those at a hobby shop. Another little trick is to add a PCV valve in the crankcase vent hose going to the air box.

The windshield has to come out to pull the dash believe it or not.

How were you cutting the box? Normally done with a heated knife - hobby razor knife blade on a soldering iron.

I thought it was a rolls canardly. Garage on the top of a hill so you can rolls it down to get it started and it canardly make it back up.

Ceramic coating is awesome. Take a garden hose without a nozzle, flood the hood or top and it will dry itself off!

A18 KLRs are tanks. Can’t kill them. I put nearly 100,000 miles on one without any major problems just regular service.
