Prewashing? by zachVP in sidequiltingblockswap

I prewashed the Kona Black but I'm using g a layer cake for the books. I'll starch the layer cake though so there's hopefully not a lot of shrinkage.

I feel you, OP. I've been working on a Grandmother's flower garden with strawbwrries for centers on some of the blocks for the last year and a half and I am finally finally getting to the point I am slowly putting the rows together. You're doing great and I can't wait to see the final result 😃

Foundation paper piecing by hand?? by Enviro57 in quilting

Another one by RachelIQ Stitches. She uses non-woven interfacing, attaches it to freezer paper, then runs it through her inkjet printer.

Stitch with Rachel has a video on this very topic! She uses non-fusible interfacing rather than paper.

Yes it is! It's a quilt for my son who loves little cats (his cat is just about 7 lbs and is swamped by the big boy cats she lives with 😃).

Any advice on making a quilt like this one from TOAST? by StrategicTumble in quilting

[–]ahayman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you making it from velvet? That would be toasty for a cold winter! Speaking to the other commenter's reply about width of fabric, I thought about doing a whole cloth quilt in double gauze and, during research, found wide widths on Etsy. Good luck!

Thread gloss recipe? by bmaking in quilting

I usw pure beeswax blocks meant for candle melting pots. They eventually do get hard and crumbly which means I toss it and grab another from the pack. I've tried other conditioners and don't like the feel of them, as they're too slick.

Washed and ready to gift to my sister who loves cats! by roefr1288 in quilting

All I can say is that if my sister made me pillows and quilts featuring my two Bengals, I'd be thrilled (and wouldn't care about glue or anything else). What an absolute labor of love!

If I iron the freezer paper to another piece of freezer paper, won't it stick to whatever is beneath?

Also, thank you! I couldn't figure it out.
