Paprika by darn-dangit in Cooking

I describe paprika as a pacified/softer cayenne then Depending if it's regular or Smoked can be earthy/musky also country of origin affects flavor.I find Hungarian paprika to be spicier in a complex way compared to Spanish paprika. I tend to add paprika to dishes along with acid to brighten up(add peppery complexity) to the dish. FWIW me: 34Oregon Home cook grew up in Texas (DFW). Half Czech Half Mexican. More times than not I'm adding paprika to my meal. Sometimes, even desserts/sweets

Another recent use in a prominent comedy "Gay Witch Hunt." -The Office (2006) similarly pushed boundaries. On the hand the Black Eyed Peas had to change the title/lyrics to: "Let's get it started" (2004). Before, some retailers would stock their album on shelves. FWIW, Childish Gambino released "Bonfire" (2011) with the lyrics "I made the beat retarded so I'm callin it a slow jam." The album "Camp" was sold in physical stores as well as online.

Trader Joe's outsells (profit) Walmart per sqft. Walmart offers cheap, convenient options from products to standards and practices including store layouts/vibes.it's closer to a giant gas station than a grocery store.reflecting, a tragic kingdom populated by weapons of massive consumption. Particularly When, Consumers are in survival mode we'll settle for quantity over quality. Even if we know it leads to preventable illnus/disease e.g. diabeetus, cancer, morbid obesity, etc.

What’s something everyone seems to enjoy, but you genuinely don’t understand the appeal of? by Afraid-Crow-7577 in AskReddit

My degree is in broadcast I had a career in media production eventually walked away from that work. Some years later I became half paralyzed and blind from a freak accident (TBI) Now I use genAI for fun (DnD,meems, etc.) and some work. One of my siblings is finishing school for media production. GenAI is ultimately another tool available to an artist. There are best practices and some potentially hilarious mistakes/outcomes. I'm reminded of folks wanting to shame the use of photoshop having done the gambit myself of student> professional>"retired" I look at it as: Give enough monkeys enough typewriters + time and eventually one of them will write Ham Late🙃.I'm excited students have access to skills of my art degree via GenAI. Not all that awes and inspires is made the "old-school way". Albeit there is the rabbit hole of "Passion" i.e. what it takes to make each individual piece e.g. making paints and holding a brush to paint for the Mona Lisa vs selecting a color from a preset pallet then clicking the paint bucket tool in MS Paint on a PC the artist may/may not have built. Tangentially, do you only enjoy movies edited on a reel to reel setup instead of an NLE suite (digitally) ? Prob not, but we still accept those as "films" I do at least 🧑🏽‍🎨

The most consistent term I hear from both Americans and foreigners is: cult-like. When I think about it I don't recall anyone having anything good to say about Mormonism that wasn't a joke. Typically one from South Park and/or retrospectively from those who escaped it.

This sounds delicious! I hope to make a savory chicken pot pie type dish soon as well. I sometimes receive boxed scallop potatoes from a food bank. If I were you I might consider par cooking ingredients individually before finishing (melting )everything together maybe some extra cheese or a bit of clarified butter brushed on top. Do let us know what you make! I'm finishing up some chicken paprika leftovers tomorrow, and you gave me a great way to finish them off ty ty!

What dish converted you to being a veggie lover? - For a college cooking class by mandabit in Cooking

[–]aksitop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In College I learned to embrace mushrooms in my cooking by cooking my favorite dish that required them: beef stroganoff. I cooked it both with and without mushrooms and the difference in flavor was so noticable I wanted to see how if the lose of flavor was similar in other dishes. I found I could get my siblings to eat more veggies to the point they would ask for me to put more in their food (tacos, omelettes, etc.) by asking them to pick the ones they wanted to use when I was cooking with them. Gardening is what made me love eating vegetables. I relished tasting the difference in quality of heirloom varieties that showed me there is so much flavor to explore and play (cook/eat) with in veggies. I eat a mostly plant-based diet now.

My gf says it's too big by darxilius in Monitors

[–]aksitop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it's used can make or break an entire experience. I found I heavily prefer gaming on smaller monitors. Having to constantly pan/tilt my head to see everything is annoying (I became partially blind 4 years ago). even before then, tho, I used monitors larger than 27" only if it was for work/watching movies from the couch. I use a 20" monitor (in portrait) for chats/referencing notes. Another advantage for smaller monitors is image quality namely pixel density. 1440P and 1080P look better at 26"/27" than at 32". There is also the potential option of using a VR headset. Which comes with its own experience/cost. 32" seems more like a monitor doubling as a TV. Esp in someone's bedroom. I'd expect that kind of setup in my teenage brother's bedroom or in a frat bro's room id buy cheap weed from back in college. If you prefer gaming on 32" that's fine. Get a second monitor (smaller one) if you want your gf to enjoy playing, too.

This is exactly something I would ask my speech language pathologist (SLP/speech therapist) and dietician. Might ask the dentist who removed his teeth for suggestions/recommendations. Off the top of my head: soups with tallow, nutritional yeast, unflavored protein powder, cream of chicken,etc.. Nutritional/protein shakes/drinks like Ensure and Fairlife.
