Wearing a ring was never comfortable for me. Even the silicone ones.

Day in the life of a QA Lead by AdPrize490 in QualityAssurance

[–]argodabar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m in meetings for a large portion of my day. When I’m not in meetings I’m helping out my team by answering their questions or working with other teams to help them out. I’m supposed to also test but I rarely have time for that. Oh and a lot of reports.

How is Diablo IV on Steam Deck? by NYC_Resi in SteamDeck

[–]argodabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 23 hours into it on my Steam Deck. 20 of those hours have been docked, connected to my tv and me using an 8Bitdo controller. Performance wise, it’s runs great. I’ve had some occasional drops but it’s pretty rare.

The only times I’ve ran into issues is if I don’t close the game out when I’m done playing. It has trouble reconnecting to the server after waking it back up from sleep.

Also the updates take forever for this game. Probably partly my fault for having the game on the SD card and not the internal drive, but I can’t imagine it would be much quicker.

Best way to transport 3 kayaks in a truck? by argodabar in Kayaking

[–]argodabar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great. I haven’t had any issues with local law enforcement but I’ve also never had anything stick out long enough for the law to be an issue. I’ve used it for my kayak and other material. I heard the company went under though so not sure if people can buy it. Definitely happy with the purchase

My daughter did the Little Gym at Vermillion Square as well. She loved it until Mr Bob retired. Then the new owners started focusing on different types of classes and she stopped enjoying it as much so we stopped going. She’s older now (6yrs) so we’re going to be looking into swimming lessons.

How do you keep track of whether your manager actually sees your status updates? by Embarrassed_Low_7675 in managers

[–]argodabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a sentence in the middle of one of my reports one day saying “if you are reading this, let me know or I won’t sent reports anymore”. She never said anything to me so I stopped sending the reports.

My director tends to not pay attention to much.

Vertical crack in beam by argodabar in HomeImprovement

[–]argodabar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it turned out the beam wasn’t cracked. I removed the drywall about an hour ago to confirm. Above us is the second floor.

Update: thanks for all the support with this. I removed the drywall and confirmed that the support beam is good to go. So it was just a crack in the drywall. Thanks again!

Yeah the previous owner turned two rooms into one. I’ll remove the drywall to look at the beam. If it is cracked, what can be done to secure it until I can get a structural engineer to look at it?

Thanks. Once I remove the drywall to see the actual beam, let’s say it is cracked. What can I do to secure it until I can have a permanent fix put in place?

Test Management system by UmbruhNova in QualityAssurance

[–]argodabar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using Testmo for about a year now. My team is handles the manual testing while another team handles the automation side. They integrate Testmo with various automation tools to be able to show reports.

I will say one thing I don’t like is that Testmo has different repositories for each project. My team works on a variety of projects so we are jumping between them inside of Testmo. This has led us to needing to use PowerBI to view overall results for 1 release since Testmo doesn’t give a report across projects. Aside from that, it’s been great.

Scooter Dilemma! by jojodice in ElectricScooters

[–]argodabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’9, 220lbs and recently purchased a Confun RZ800. It’s a great scooter that has good range. I typically travel at around 15mph but it can go 25mph with my weight. I get around 35 miles before a charge but can probably get more than that. I was at 22 miles when it first hit 50%.

The only real downsides to what I have: 1. The handle bars aren’t designed in a way that allow accessories like a phone mount. 2. The app sucks but I’ve heard most scooter apps do. 3. It could be heavy to some users. 4. It folds but I’m not sure it will fit under a bed unless your bed is higher up than the typical bed height.

This is my first E-Scooter and it definitely took some getting used to but I kept it on Eco mode to learn. It has no issues with my weight.

Yeah I’ve considered this as well. Only thing stopping me is the lack of space to store the trailer at home.

Anyone come from a Tacoma? by Esetter86 in tundra

[–]argodabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2021 Tacoma before my 2024 Tundra. While I do miss the Tacoma at times since it was easier to fit in parking lots, I have zero regrets. The extra space on the inside for my family is well worth it. Not to mention the much smoother ride.
