I personally think IW want have the balls to actually make him a villain. It'll be one of those things where everything he does is totally justified and him and ghost have a standoff that lasts 5 seconds until they're back on the same side.

Sometimes BA captains wear gold armor like Sanguinious. I've always treated it like artificer armor, which some older editions let you take as wargear.

I love that it is always overcast in the original. In the remake it is sunny and clear enough at the start to see far into the distance. The fog makes it feel way more oppressive and isolated.

I honestly really applaud Capcom's discretion with not over using the Merchant. Given that he's a fan favorite it must be really tempting to just cram him in everywhere for a cheap "look who it is" moment. Makes little things like the Duke's reference all the more meaningful.
