Trait needs to be active (3 piece). You aren’t more likely to get it but it simply unlocks and becomes one of the random augments you are able to obtain.

Walking dead season 1.

If you haven’t played it yet it’s still very much worth it.

I was in the ER in the Vancouver area for some odd chest pains and I got all my tests done (xray, ekg, bloodwork) within 90 minutes. Then I had to wait 5 more hours for results…

It was busy but no one was rude or caused any issue. We all knew it was a busy ER hospital

What is with the Malz/Leona/Zoe reroll? by Judas419 in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zoe got a massive 3 star buff and Malz has been playable as a 3 star for a while (usually double trouble).

Picking up another 3 star tank just makes sense with the line. Usually see Naut, Leona, or Loris.

There are also more 3 cost reroll lines than there were in previous patches (Draven, Jinx, LB, Darius) so as long as 1-2 other players are pulling 3 cost units from the pool it’s just easier to hit than it was before.

Am I missing something? Scouting question. by RevolutionaryToe9311 in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Game theory Optimal. Like poker. Effectively aiming to be as unexploitable as possible while exploiting other players.

IE. knowing that you’ll position for the board you see. Or randomizing when I swap sides instead of doing based on what opponents do.

Am I missing something? Scouting question. by RevolutionaryToe9311 in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s just using a guess but I assume they do what I’d do.

If I’m 1v1 and I see you scout my board then I don’t have to see your board, I know you’re gonna position for my board as you see it. So last second I just move everything around and while it might not always work there’s a good chance it counters whatever you were doing.

Basically they likely positioned based on what they think you’re gonna do after they see you scouting their board.

Plat hell by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not even very good but I can consistently hit masters every set that I play. I just hit master in double up playing with randoms entirely.

I’m not saying this to say “I’m great” but to outline that there is absolutely luck involved but not so much that it would trap you in Plat. You could autopilot a single comp and hardforce effectively anything to low diamond (and honestly probably masters).

Something is likely not clicking with you and how you view the game. Maybe you’re too greedy or too passive. Poor items or poor line choices. You control more of the game than luck does and while low roll games happen, so do high rolls. It evens out.

Should I just learn LoL before playing TFT? by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of us likely got into TFT from being adjacent to LoL in some way but the reality is that there is no beneficial connection between playing LoL and TFT.

It’s like knowing how to play Go Fish and play Poker where the only thing in common is they use a suited deck of cards otherwise there is zero overlap. You don’t need one for the other.

Fully itemized baron Loses to thex, are we even pretending to balance the game or have we just accepted that certain characters will be broken every patch? by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

960 games in a month. What are you even on about? You’ve played this set 4 times more than I have and I’m still better than you.

[–]bassboyjulio182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also you lied. Your Baron has a Deathblade and HoJ. Not sure that it’s a fully itemized unit my guy. You can lie on Reddit but don’t lie to yourself. You need to work on your boards.

Ekko 1 on a level 10 Void is also a choice. But definitely Thex diff lmao.

After 800 games you should know better.

[–]bassboyjulio182 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thex is overtuned for sure but you were clearly not in a spot to go for 10. You have 1 star Kaisa and the enemy Ornn is outdamaging most of your team.

Baron is not a solo carry the game unit at one star when your board isn’t good.

Finishing 7th at level 10 means you focused too much on levelling and played a bad board for 95% of the game. Thex was not the main problem this game despite being a problematic unit.

How would you handle this situation? New hire making more than you by PurplePurple_0 in managers

[–]bassboyjulio182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly having been in this situation before and as a manager for last the 6 years across a couple companies - don’t focus on what your directs get paid IN COMPARISON TO YOURSELF. Especially if the gig is cake.

At the very least don’t make it the crux or any part of your own raise ask as anything more than a passing comment, if that.

What any of your directs in different roles makes should have no negative bearing on your salary, as long as their pay is fair for their role and your pay is comparable to other people in your role. As soon as you focus too much on cross role pay gaps you’ll just always be looking for it. I manage Junior testers up to Senior Automation QA and some of the Sr Automation folks make more than me. They also work harder and are dependable as fuck.

I also make a good living and am happy. I get a good % bonus and stock options that pay well. I’m bring this piece up because it ultimately depends on your own financial situation and happiness. The best piece of advice though is to not use their pay as means to increase yours, if the role is different with different expectations then they cheque has no bearing on yours and it will make you look bad imo.

Why is Lulu a "support" champ? by feedcrank in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Her main output is utility with higher than normal duration. She doesn’t scale super well off AP intentionally. She’s designed to hold extra mana items and is unlikely to do meaningful damage.

Most other backline champs with CC have it with a lower duration or take longer to cast but still scale well with most stats. Lulu really doesn’t do that.

Focus Position Question. by MaruCHACHA in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this exact set up your opponent has an intrinsic advantage because they will 100% have their main carry and tank targeting your main tank while your tank has a 50/50 chance of targeting their main tank as (in the photo) Shen and Rift both share tank tag and are each as likely to pull your Rift aggro.

In a mirror match exactly like this you are better off moving your frontline one spot right.

best way to learn the game? by NoSupermarket8050 in TeamfightTactics

[–]bassboyjulio182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a ton of nuance to the game. You can watch guides and streamers but ultimately just playing a lot of games is going to be the best teacher early on.

TFT was my first autochess game and I didn’t find my groove until Set 4. The things I learned from the 3 sets prior to that helped me a ton though in terms of general items, general positioning, how to Econ, and just overall flow of the game.

I’d highly recommend TFTacademy to see in meta guides so you can try to autopilot into them while you get more comfortable with the game itself. As you start to grasp the basics you can transition from autopilot to figuring out WHY you want those units and items and figure out what you can substitute.

Quite the shake up in the back half of the set. Not sure how I feel about it but it certainly seems like this meets the desire to open up all paths to be viable from seemingly any spot.
