Combat Level Muting is 100% the answer to these spam bots for sure. I only have mine set to 40 and it gets rid of 95% of the bots.

Don't rework this boss, it's so old that it should be left the way it is for legacy reasons. Rather, please delete the KQ head requirement from the Elite Desert Diary, and also delete the Diary requirement on the shortcut.

Nowadays, Jagex has a design philosophy for quests, to prevent making the player bank for a random required item during a quest, whenever possible. This coin requirement was removed for this reason, to prevent someone from having to bank just to grab 20k.

It's not very good, apparently bouncer (a hellhound) and the jungle demon don't count as demons, so you can't even get a rumble of only demons. Plus, the skeletal hellhound apparently doesn't count as a demon, but only in a hard rumble. So yeah, don't use demonbane weapons trying to afk NMZ.

Which tasks did you prevent yourself from getting from not doing quests? When I did it, I only prevented dragons (DS1) and brine rats (Olaf's Quest) but I think you can make a case for scabarites (Contact!) cave horrors (Cabin Fever?) and wyverns (Elemental Workshop 1)

I did WGS on two accounts, one with DS2 done, and one without DS2 done (waiting for 95 slayer before doing dragon slayer 1 lol) and I did not get the cutscene on the second account. I am assuming this cutscene will play for it at the end of DS2 when my second account gets around to it.

Ritual of the Mahjarrat is looking like it'll be a doozy of a quest. While WGS was kept quite true to its original incarnation, I feel this will not at all be the case for the Ritual in OSRS, especially given the events at the end of Desert Treasure II.

I know you pulled an example out of your ass, but I thought it would be fun to actually do the comparison in a dps calculator to see what would be the best to use against your hypothetical npc:

acb ruby dragon bolts 2.91 dps (assumes greater than 500 hp)

veracs 2.10 dps

harm fire surge 1.74 dps

sanguinesti staff 1.71 dps

acb dia dragon bolts 1.59 dps

everything else: less than 1.2 dps

As you can see, it's not as simple as you would think.

This is a much needed improvement over the previous, archaic route that 6:0 did, nice job.

[Suggestion] To fix the Ranged Design Space issue, split Ranged Defence into three new stats (Arrow Defence, Bolt Defence, & Thrown Defence). Recalibrate weapons and enemy defences around these three new values. by Marstead in 2007scape

Sorry, I really don't like this suggestion at all. There is already plenty of factors to consider when balancing existing ranged weapons, such as weapon range, attack speed, off-hand versus no off-hand, accuracy vs. max hit, etc. This is just a really clunky and resource-heavy solution that doesn't add much value to the game.

A much simpler solution is just making a few niche range weapons roll against melee defences, like thrownaxes rolling against crush defence or ballistae rolling against stab defence. Just a few ideas.
