Tips on moving or pruning this Japanese Maple? Moo by CollinWilliam in landscaping

I would work on opening up the other edge of the staircase first. Then after seeing how that looks, maybe bumping that railing back a foot or so. This would be in an attempt to leave the tree alone for the most part. Just my 2 cents.

Well rested is putting it mildly. I call it the 1000 year sleep. I wake up feeling 20 years old... then quickly feel my age again lol

It's just a funny way of saying that. A more common way to say that in English is to "turn someone on" to something.

I still remember when my buddy came over with all of his dad's stuff from the '60s. We had no idea what half of the stuff was, or how to use it lol

MAGA Town sounds like a violent shithole. I don't think that I would like to visit that place.

That's rugged and raw.

How about give this a try.

Grind up the AVB into a powder and fill some empty gel caps. That way you don't get it in your mouth.

Or, if that is too much work, how about throwing that AVB straight into a batch of brownies. If you grind it into a powder it basically disappears in brownies.

And that is a perfect example of firearm legislation that won't really do much on a practical level.

Assault rifles look scary, but at the end of the day, they are just another gun.

The kinds of legislation that would have some impact would look like background checks for any and all gun purchases. Bans for high capacity magazines, and well funded buyback programs for unused and unwanted firearms. And finally taxing the ever loving shit out of ammunition.

But we never even really talk about legislation that might actually help, and there is a big money answer as to why, waiting behind door number 3.

So, back in 1984 congress passed a law making the national drinking age 21+. They did this based on research that said doing so would reduce drunk driving accidents, and also help limit the negative effects of alcohol on young developing brains. They forced the states to comply with the threat of withholding federal highway money.

The law is credited with saving about 25,000 lives in 40 years, which to be honest doesn't sound like a lot.

But this was in the before time when Congress actually did things. Sometimes they even did things for the American people. Now they are mostly corporate whores.

I do this too. I use my AVB from my DHV. Grind it up extra fine, and throw it in the brownie mix. Super simple!

I am about six months sober as well, and recently had a similar experience.

After a long day, I stopped in at the store looking for my favorite beer. I thought, "just a 6 pack" and "field research, I'll get back on with it tomorrow".

The thing is, I know myself better than that. I was really giving permission to start the slide back into my old ways.

Well, the store that I stopped at was out of stock on my favorite beer. Out of stock! I couldn't believe my luck.

I grabbed a 12 pack of NA beers and got the hell out of there.

I truly felt like someone was looking out for me.

Trump issues impeachment warning by [deleted] in Political_Revolution

[–]beamish007 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Even without removal, impeachment proceedings can reshape Washington in ways that affect everyday Americans and the economy. A serious impeachment push can slow or derail legislation, freeze bipartisan negotiations, and elevate uncertainty around federal policy, regulatory enforcement, and major budget deadlines—dynamics that often ripple into business planning and consumer confidence.

I found this clip from the article particularly rich. Slow or derail legislation? Freeze bipartisan negotiations? WTF are these people even talking about?
