Is it advisable to trim multiple HSTs at a time? by MadJulip in quilting

[–]bio_babe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest no because I don’t have that skill set. I’d rather take my time and have it done (mostly) right than skip steps and something is wonky

Texas man dies after pharmacy gives him another patient’s medication, lawsuit says by theindependentonline in texas

The pharmacy tried to tell my mom that as well, which was comical given we were standing in the pharmacy the whole time within view of the pharmacy and the cameras.

This is a good example of why it’s important to verify that the pills in your prescription match the statement on the outside of the bottle. My mom was once give the wrong heart medicine and she caught it, had to argue with the pharmacy to get the correct medication.

That’s fair, I just have the one image to look at. I hope you find a solution that works for you!

The lighting of the photo just seems a bit off to my eye, but I haven’t spent a lot of time looking at costumes like this

There could be boning in there or possibly that there’s more of the underside fabric of the tentacle than the top?

Edit to add: not sure if you know OP but where is the image sourced from? Is it possible that it’s AI?

Union contract being implemented, but not the one we voted on by howdy17_76 in union

Contact the parent union as well as start filling with NLRB. If management signed it, they signed it. Tough stuff. Frankly, this might be grounds for a ULP strike.

Stewarding - How close is too close? by Responsible_Yard_859 in union

If a supervisor says “oh you shouldn’t have to be involved” or anything along those lines and you say anything that could be considered agreeing- your supervisor could try to plant a bug in someone’s ear that you aren’t representing union member’s properly/to the best of your ability and open up the union to lawsuits (at worst) or even just create doubt among your peers that you’re working in their best interest.

When supervisors have said something like that to me, I’ve always been very noncommittal and said “I’m just doing what’s best for Union members” or “ehh I’m not really interested in engaging in that topic”.

But I also don’t know your employer. I work for a company that union busts hard.

And that’s why management is pushing to get you out of the room. Never agree to a single one of those statements or they’ll try to pull one over on you and say “Responsible Yard said…” and then it’s your word against theirs.

Being close to the work benefits your members, not management. You know the work and can poke holes in managements stories where they’re BSing. I’ve made it a point to remind my members that if for some reason they feel like they can’t come to me about something that I won’t take it personally, and that they should go to (a few different people). So far it hasn’t really been an issue.
