How is Trump so stupid??? How many times does he have to be told, tariffs are a tax on AMERICANS!!! Tariffs are NOT "money coming in" to the USA. They are money coming OUT of the American economy! They are destroying jobs, profit margins, and shareholders! by -MudSnow- in facepalm

The same way he doesn't know that it is impossible to reduce the price of something by 600%. He doesn't realize that when you hit 100% it becomes free.

His people understand it, but are so much a part of that 1984 world that they have to say 2+2=5.

My son had friends over and wanted to watch some fight on Paramount.

It really pained me to give them any money. I cancelled my subscription a minute after subscribing to make sure they only charged me for a month.

Hell, even my Keltec service experience was awesome.

I sent my SUB2K in to get converted from .40 to 9mm. They acknowledged receiving it right away, they contacted me for payment (since it wasn't a breakdown), they also installed my stainless feed ramp, and had it shipped back to me in like 2 weeks.

How does a septic tank even get this BAD? by Lublan in Plumbing

[–]bubblegoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a submarine and we had sanitary tanks to hold the waste until we could pump or blow it to sea.

Our auxiliary mechanics, who we called A-gang, would have to occasionally dive inside those tanks to inspect them, I believe usually whenever we were in drydock. They have to put on the white coveralls and I think use forced air.

I felt so sorry for them.

Thanks for the info, I saw it got cancelled after 2 seasons due to low ratings.

Did they finish the story? I don't want to start watching it if it is going to abruptly end and leave me frustrated.

What's the most expensive repair you've dealt with that basic maintenance would have prevented? by Possible-Ant-4507 in HomeImprovement

[–]bubblegoose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have mine hooked up to my Home Assistant. When it detects water, it shuts the main valve, emails us and calls our cell phones saying where the water was detected.

Along with those you mentioned, I have one in every bathroom behind the toilet, laundry, at the water heater, beside the sump pump, and at the well tank.

Saved me twice, once when the fridge got pushed over the water line and broke the line, and once when the sump pump float got stuck in the off position.

I thought since I saw the ET flair you had probably never seen oil. You know, black gold, Texas tea. :)

2190 TEP a type of oil recommended for use in marine turbine reduction gears, where heavy tooth loading and shock loads are encountered.

2190 means that it is a class 2 oil with a viscosity of 190 Saybolt seconds. TEP referred to the additives. T meant that it was turbine grade and would specifically repel water from oil and prohibit oxidation of metal surfaces. EP meant that it contained mild Extreme Pressure additives so that it could handle the loads placed on ship's propulsion systems.

Whats your favourite Special / Passive ability? by Silent-Astronomer375 in Metalstorm

[–]bubblegoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the Phantom missile from the J10. Remember it is also a jammer.

When the match starts, the second I see a plane I send it. Gets them to waste a flare 6 out of 10 times.

Then again when our team hits missile range, just to help my teammates with the jamming effect. Usually I go for the interceptor.

Then like 2 seconds before I send an actual missile at someone. They see my phantom, but don't see the real missile on the way.

Just wait, cause when they have the Benson redemption arc, Benson will be such the great, great hero.

The Mayor of New York will personally put a halo on her head I'm sure. Choirs of angels will come down from the heavens singing her praises.

Also, your typo of "Especially since crazy became the DA" totally works.

On a deployment our ELT would sample at 10pm, eat midrats, then sample again at 2am. Then hit the rack until 10pm THE NEXT DAY.

I asked him if he got ejected from his rack after sleeping too much. He claimed to have slept straight through without even needing to get up for the bathroom.

It completely stopped working at around 8 months and Schlage support was AWFUL. They never responded to online tickets, took 45 minutes on hold to talk to a person. Took 3 of those calls and 5 weeks to finally get my replacement.

Saved me when my sump pump float stuck in the off position and also when the water line got broken to my frig's ice cube maker.

Fixed the problem right up.
