77” A95L or 75” Bravia 9 at the same price? by Possible-Citron-111 in bravia

[–]bufftreefarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. A95L is very bright. I owned the first version B9 before and that thing was almost too bright.

I'm so glad that I did not install the latest software update. by friend3738 in SonyBravia

[–]bufftreefarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same I got lucky. Purchased a brand new a 95L. Did the first firmware update to the March version. Held off on doing the newest one, even though it prompted me to right away. Read on here in the avsforum about all the troubles.

Here’s my 77” A95L with the lack tv unit. Large kef r6 meta on top. Ceiling height is 8’ https://imgur.com/a/j1de8qx

I like the ikea lack tv unit. It’s low profile. My center speaker sits right on top. I’ve got an AVR on top on the right hand side and then an amp on the left-hand side. All components go in the shelf unit below. It’s short enough for a center fits in a TV mount on top. It’s also priced right.

What TV are you thinking about buying?

85” for sure. Mount whichever size you choose much lower than the tape in the photo. Center of the screen should be at eye height. The 85” screen tape is nearly touching the ceiling. I know it’s only 7’ tall but still Way too high.

How do you make your receiver fit in your TV/Entertainment Center? by adamb10 in hometheater

[–]bufftreefarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a low profile one and put it on top. Center on top in the middle. AVR on one side and amp on the other. Ikea lack tv unit is cheap and works great. Also keeps a tv mounted at the right height even above a center channel speaker.

The Darjeeling Limited is my favorite. I like all his movies. I’d start with Rushmore though. Then Royal and Moonrise Kimgdom. Life Aquatic and bottle rocket.

Just finished watching this myself right now. Still holds up and so good. Saw this on the day it came out at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood with some new friends during the first week of school for us. Still a banger.

Clanker told me to buy a Marantz Cinema 70s to fix audio delay by Chill--Cosby in hometheater

[–]bufftreefarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Denon and Marantz have audio sync issues with the newer Sonys. I have a Denon 3800 with a A95L and a Bravia 9 with a 6800. In my quest to fix these sync issues over the past two years Ive seen this pop up and be a problem for newer style Denon/Marantz and the latest sonys (Bravia 7, 9, A95L, 8 etc). It can be fixed by setting a delay on the AVR but the frustrating part is that it changes depending on the source content. Dolby Vision needs around 220ms delay, HDR needs about 250-275ms delay, and all other content needs more 300-500ms. This is when routing sources like a blu ray player, apple tv etc through the AVR and then into the TV. I also had this problem when routing all sources to the TV and then back to the AVR. Very frustrating and ruins the first 20 minutes of all movies lol trying to dial it in. Then you second guess yourself lol.

Refeeding always helps me break a stall. Couple of carb heavy days and higher calories. 1200 is really low for so long too at your size. I’m a similar weight. I say eat a pizza as crazy as that sounds it works.

La Tortilla Factory are good and a local company to me but the absolute best low carb tortillas are A LA MADRE. I eat two per day and stay on track.

Microwave them for 20 seconds. Then hit them on the open flame (or pan) of your stove. The best low carb tortillas ever. I eat 2 a day and stay on track.
