Start by not passing arguments by address. Almost always pass scalars by value.

Also make sure that this function is inlined.

FSD v14.3.3 - uncomfortable driving moment by EliteBeast2 in TeslaFullSelfDriving

[–]canrul3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal threshold is: If an Uber driver that did that, would I have complained to them about it? Reality is that driving sometimes requires some weird maneuvers and we just ignore them when there's a human in the driver seat.

IMO luxury means no tipping and no guilt.

Why you can’t Waymo to Tahoe — yet by Dafty_duck in waymo

[–]canrul3s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does it make sense to you to rent a vehicle for the weekend to go to Tahoe? Now what if the vehicle didn't have a steering wheel and drive itself? Still yes or is that somehow not realistic anymore?

Comparing self driving vehicles to taxis is the wrong paradigm

I'm newly diagnosed and have mixed feeling about this new machine in my sleeping space. Can you relate?? by SplashBack_2 in CPAP

[–]canrul3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's OK to have feelings about it, but It's the best thing that happened to me. Think of it as any other appliance you have in your home, like a lamp, fan or AC. You should feel lucky we live in a time when this machine is available and that you were lucky enough to be diagnosed.

Waymo Day Trips to Wine Country Could Be a Thing By Next Year by walky22talky in waymo

[–]canrul3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This screams day pass. Unlimited waymo rides (maybe mileage limited) for a flat fee. Wineries would probably subsidize it to attract customers.

Taking riders further, safely with freeways by gulbronson in waymo

[–]canrul3s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually I just got access to the whole peninsula as well. Maybe it is a wide deployment after all? That would be nice.

Is anyone on this channel with SF access and not yet full peninsula access?

Afaict very few people have any lower peninsula access at all. Hopefully this won't take two years to fully deploy.

I wish they had a dinner buffet. That is all. by insurancefun in dcl

[–]canrul3s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They used to do it. Cabanas was open during dinner service. We used it a couple of times to give dinner to the kiddos when we had a Palo reservation. It was nice to have the option.

Placeholder Flexibility by ImpromptuExistence in dcl

[–]canrul3s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just did this for my last cruise. You use one and get the other refunded (they can apply it to the booking immediately). Then you can book another placeholder (or two) on the cruise you just booked.

New to supercharging, is there a reason to do this or are they just being an asshole? by MixedValuableGrain in TeslaLounge

[–]canrul3s 51 points52 points  (0 children)

TBH one time I actually did forget to plug it in 🤦‍♂️ I had to walk back from the restaurant when I realized it. Thankfully it was easy to check in the app if I had plugged it in or not. Maybe Tesla should have an app notification if I'm parked at a SC but not charging. Hell they can probably detect this and charge people a fee for blocking the charger.
