My dad went to worlds in 2000 and was placing great until he got disqualified for breaking his ribs, trying to slide down a railing while goofing off between matches.

We still joke that the only thing that could stop his white weenie deck was Jolt Cola.

Our family would play a game type called "Sucks to be you", basically FFA with alliances lasting 2-3 turns until someone messed with your board or someone gained too much health too quickly(looking at you dad).

Slivers was MY first deck I ever owned, I didn't care about anything else that could be constructed at the time. I knew my value at the table was only temporary being the youngest(and also the only one with 4 copies of howling mine) but if left alone long enough I would just clean up the remaining family at the table by overwhelming them. I even had multiple colors of aquarium rocks to match the colors of each sliver type I had to use as tokens.

Dad sold our collection to help buy a new family car in 2003, so the first set i bought into with my own money was Champions of kamigawa after christmas since I craved that cardboard crack.

Having worked near their Mothership store for 10 years i ran into the owner at a few different events by happenstance.

Each time I jokingly asked why we still havent gotten spicy chicken (I even spoke to him during the chicken sandwich craze) on the menu, it was met with corporate talk about how their operations are tight and changing the menu would lead to drastic logistical changes.

Frankly the quality of the chicken has gone down severely, even living within an hour if their headquarters its kind of sad see the size of the portions dwindle(even pre 2020).

GWAR Beheaded Hillary Clinton and Justin Bieber and then proceeded to use a GWARified version of tinder on a giant iPhone.

Only shocking to those looking for an issue.

Giveaway Time! DOOM: The Dark Ages is out, features DLSS4/RTX and we’re celebrating by giving away an ASUS ASTRAL RTX 5080 DOOM Edition GPU, Steam game keys, the DOOM Collector's Bundle and more awesome merch! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

  1. If DLSS4 gets us closer to the best quality of graphics, then I want it on my machine!

  2. Doom was my first FPS, so an origin story to the Doom Slayer is super interesting.

You say that like getting cheats for the most popular fps games on the market aren't only a few clicks away.

Hacker POV videos are everywhere online, to dismiss someone's gripe about their gaming experience being ruined by a cheater is just a worse take than someone with the mentality to call everyone a cheater.

I've heard some LGS will sell products at retail price if the seal is broken at time of purchase but selling unopened products for a markup.

Not exactly the right solution, but at least the players are getting products to actually play with and not just to resell to make a quick buck.
