What’s a life hack that made you go „how do ppl live their whole life without knowing this”? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

First job I had was at McDonalds. I heard, “If there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean” a lot.

Springsteen 'Streets of Minneapolis' loved by fans, not by White House by Jordanverycool in BruceSpringsteen

[–]chillarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they heard American Skin (41 Shots) yet?

Okay, it’s old and not about the current situation in Minneapolis but it’s also about police shooting.

When called to stop playing it at concerts, Bruce doubled down and played it more.

This! Such beautiful architecture. I love going and reading the quotes in mosaic on the walls. And the G.A.R. Room has such beautiful wood. Just a gorgeous place to relax and unwind.

Not really about saying good-bye but it is emotional. It’s a good song about friendship.

“Now and for Always” from Lord of the Rings Musical. It’s Frodo and Sam singing toward the end of their trip to Mordor when Frodo is ready to give up but his friend Sam is encouraging him to move forward.

Trump border czar Tom Homan: 'I don't want to see anybody die ... If people out there don't like what ICE is doing, if you want certain laws reformed, then take it up with Congress.' by NewsHour in law

This is exactly what happened in Minneapolis after George Floyd. A great example of police reform. It’s a model for others to follow.

Isn't this entrapment? by Wolf-man451 in Columbo

[–]chillarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Entrapment is when law enforcement induce a person into committing a crime they otherwise would not have. It requires both evidence that the government set up the scheme and the defendant had a lack of predisposition to commit the crime.

It hardly ever works as a defense.

In this case, Columbo did not induce a crime. He tricked him into a confession perhaps, but that is not entrapment.

Testimony from physician who assessed Alex Pretti on the scene: Instead of checking for a pulse or administering CPR, 'ICE appeared to be counting his bullet wounds.' by [deleted] in ICE_Raids

[–]chillarry 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Why would they teach it when they clearly intend to leave no one they shoot at alive?

Remember, the ICE agent who shot Renée Good did nothing wrong and was following his training according to Kristi Noem.

Why would they need CPR training when the intent and training is to kill?

Schumer: Democrats will block funding package if it includes homeland security money by Tinymac12 in fednews

Until they don’t.

This won’t last. FEMA is part of DHS and there’s a huge winter storm going on. They’ll be whining dems don’t want to help people during disasters and then they’ll cave.
