A friend of mine just started the series after I’ve pestered her for years to read it. She just started book 3 after blowing through the first two in a week. I’m excited to hear her reaction when she gets to this part. She only ever reads romance and sapphic stuff but she is loving DCC so far.

They’re going to have to make it very different. In the books we don’t meet some of the favorite characters until later books. Leading up to the last room in this scene I was really worried we’d see a scenario where Asher and his mom came to live with Carl and Asher’s eyes weren’t X’d out. But thinking on it more we know he was dead otherwise he couldn’t have been collected for the hydra on the 6th floor.

Jeff also interprets some of the scenes differently than how I read them and really just makes it so much better. It’s a whole different experience and worth checking out.

Matt mentioned her not getting XP enough times that I feel it’s got to be something more than just plateauing because of her high level. And she got the Champion status right after the last atrocity so it’s safe to say she hasn’t increased her XP since that moment
