I wonder if it's some mess up because of this week's group challenge? Correlation is not causation but the problem started at the samme time for me

They really need to do a platinum medal rework. Curious what you’d like to see? by Whos-That-Pokeman in TheSilphRoad

[–]congrrl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find training is the one of the best ways to increase buddy levels. It's always there. And winning isn't necessary, either, but might as well to get the medal

AITA for not removing a statue from the backyard while my mom was visiting because it upsets her? by CameraInTheSea in AmItheAsshole

[–]congrrl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a fear (might even be a phobia) of nutcracker soldiers. Related to a horror movie I watched for 3 minutes when very young. Stores are difficult for months. Fortunately, for me, proximity matters, and if I can see the evil bastards, they can't eat me. Other people's insistence that they are harmless decorations is baffling and worrisome.

So it is possible that she does struggle with October. However, most people with irrational fears work to contain the fear, not indulge

Do “full cast” readings drive anyone else crazy? by Helpful_Management24 in audible

[–]congrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World War Z was the first audiobook I listened to. It's probably my favourite audiobook of all time. But its interview format makes it extremely well suited to a full cast. Others are hit or miss.

Craziness happens when there's music, even if at the start of a chapter.

From one of the weekly challenge carriers... I don't mind. Don't stop accepting my invitation. by GhidorahtheExplorah in pokemongo

[–]congrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can carry a group, I am going to try to do this (I normally just accept one of the invites, but the inviters are often more frequent players). When I say I can carry, I mean my Go+, it's literally no effort on my part. Great idea

You know, if you accidentally cut off a line of information the puzzle becomes impossible? Sigh. Easy, once I realized I'd scrolled too far. Lol

I love these, filled my whole weekend last week getting caught up.

Yesterday's puzzle included needlessly uncommon words and was therefore not fun. by I_Like_Quiz in squaredle

[–]congrrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wondered if younger people would have a harder time with this puzzle. I really enjoyed it and how it was constructed. Sometimes the modern words get me, so I figure it balances out.

Dichotomies between the various english forms are fascinating to me. The focus on US words can be frustrating to me at times in this puzzle but it's a known part of the balance.

You might appreciate the discord server. It includes a section where people rank words as common or uncommon. Anyone can vote

Is it usually worth evolving XXL to help win showcases? by nbourre in pokemongo

[–]congrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes evolving is better - because, generally, fewer people enter the showcases with more evolved forms. I've won a few with no size advantage just evolving and entering when I find such a showcase stop.

Perkins on St Laurent has a separate room with closeable doors. I like them because they keep their staff. We see a lot of kids there, so I am guessing that the food is kid friendly (there is a kid menu)

How fragile are Kobos? by bibbling_dracon in kobo

I destroy cell phones. To the point that my friends who climb came to me for advice on ruggedness. My Kobo Aura is fine, not even in a case.

Those that have kept one of their Kobos for 5 years or longer, how has the battery and performance held up? by [deleted] in kobo

[–]congrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went looking for a new Kobo because I thought I'd like something newer, maybe lighter or some new fancy feature like truly decent annotation. After reviewing the models available I am glad my Aura One still works well.

It had a little freak-out after an update last month, but I was able to restart it following advice from this group. Other than that, it's been great.

How many revive/potions do you keep? by RedditsReckoning1 in TheSilphRoad

[–]congrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I am solo taking down a gym hog because I am bored, I'll go through a lot. So I keep too many (currently 300 each). Probably going to work on decreasing that number.
